Araz Naxçıvan is a futsal club based in Nakhchivan City, Azerbaijan. The club is very dominant in Azeri futsal, as they won ten consecutive Premier League titles from 2004 to 2014. Araz is one of the strongest teams in Europe, having reached UEFA Futsal Cup semi finals two times. History Araz Naxçivan founded in 2004 to replace a defunct football club in Azerbaijan Premier League and have dominated futsal in Azerbaijan ever since. The Azerbaijan national futsal team is the national futsal team of Azerbaijan and is controlled by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan. Futsal
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hardcourt, hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and Indoor soccer, indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique.
