Felip (singer)
Felip Jhon Suson (born January 12, 1997), known mononymously as Felip (stylized in all caps) or by stage name Ken, is a Filipino singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, and producer. He is the main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist of the Filipino boy band SB19. The group debuted in October 2018. They initially struggled to gain attention from the public before rising to fame after their song went viral the next year. Their discography includes the album '' Get in the Zone'' (2020) and two extended plays (EPs). Felip has a wide vocal range and is known for his distinctive deep voice. Felip started going by his mononym for his solo projects starting from the release of his debut solo single " Palayo" in 2021. He released another single titled " Bulan" in 2022 before releasing his debut solo EP '' COM • PLEX'' in 2023. Background and development In a press conference, ShowBT CEO Robin Geong discussed to inform the media for what's in store for SB19 in 2020. One of the events that was scheduled was the group's debut album release. The music production for SB19's first full album has come to completion and was originally planned to be released in March 2020. The Cebuano people ( ceb, Mga Sugbuanon) are the largest subgroup of the larger ethnolingustic group Visayans, who constitute the largest Filipino ethnolinguistic group in the country. Their primary language is the Cebuano language, an Austronesian language. "Bulan" (, is a song by Filipino singer, songwriter, and producer Felip also known by his stage name Ken, released on May 28, 2022. He wrote the song and produced it with Joshua Daniel Nase. It is a R&B, hip hop-produced song which contains Bisayan word, makes a commentary on modern life through the myth of the Bicolano moon deity, Bulan. Felip uses the story of Bulan as a metaphor for crab mentality. It premiered on YouTube on May 28, 2022. The music video features the sand dunes of Paoay and the Graciano Cliffs along Cape Bojeador in Ilocos Norte as the backdrop for the battle between darkness and light, taking inspiration from the deities and mythological creatures of pre-colonial times.
