"Feel the Spin" is a 1985 song by the American vocalist Debbie Harry, featured on the soundtrack album for the film ''Krush Groove'' (1985). The song was co-written by Harry and producers John "Jellybean" Benitez and Toni C. (the latter of whom would go on to collaborate with Harry again on many of her solo albums). Both producers went on to work with Whitney Houston on her 1988 hit "Love Will Save the Day", from her album ''Whitney''. "Feel the Spin" was released as an extended 12" single on Warner Bros. Records / Geffen Records in the U.S. (where it charted on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart at #5). It was also released as a single in Canada, but not in the UK (though the track would surface in 1987 as the B-side of the UK singles "Free to Fall" and "In Love With Love. Debbie Harry
Deborah Ann Harry (born Angela Trimble; July 1, 1945) is an American singer, songwriter and actress, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Blondie. Four of her songs with the band reached on the US charts between 1979 and 1981. Born in Miami, Florida, Harry was adopted as an infant and raised in Hawthorne, New Jersey. After attending college, she worked various jobs—as a dancer, a Playboy Bunny and a secretary (including at the BBC in New York)—before her breakthrough in the music industry. Harry co-formed Blondie in 1974 in New York City. In the issue dated March 16, 1985, '' Billboard'' magazine debuted its first chart devoted exclusively to 12-inch Singles Sales. The 50-position weekly ranking joined ''Billboard''s established Club Songs chart, reduced to the same 50 positions, both under the title Hot Dance/Disco. A coupling from MCA Records' ''Beverly Hills Cop'' soundtrack, Patti LaBelle's " New Attitude" and Harold Faltermeyer's "Axel F", held the No. 1 slot for the chart's first week and was also No. 1 for the second consecutive week on the most played dance/disco chart. On June 20, 1992, the chart was renamed Maxi-Singles Sales, then simply Dance Singles Sales on March 1, 2003. ''Once More into the Bleach'' is a remix album released in December 1988 by the band Blondie and Debbie Harry. The 13-track compilation contains remixes of Blondie songs and material from Harry's solo career. It was the first compilation to include non-album singles " Rush Rush" (from the ''Scarface'' soundtrack) and "Feel the Spin" (from the ''Krush Groove'' soundtrack). Overview The title of the album is a pun on a line from ''Henry V'', a history play by William Shakespeare, "once more unto the breach", with a nod to hair bleach. Blondie is an American Rock music, rock band co-founded by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The band was a pioneer in the American New wave music, new wave scene of the mid-1970s in New York.
