Feel The Pain
"Feel the Pain" is a single by alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. from their 1994 album '' Without a Sound''. Written after Mascis came up with the riff on tour, the song features a dry arrangement. It was released as the debut single from the album the same year, reaching number four on the Modern Rock charts in the US and number 25 in the UK. A music video for the song was also released, helping boost the song's popularity. Since its release, the song has been praised by critics for its guitar work and lyrics. The Damned (band)
The Damned are an English punk rock band formed in London in 1976 by lead vocalist Dave Vanian, guitarist Brian James, bassist (and later guitarist) Captain Sensible, and drummer Rat Scabies. They were the first punk band from the United Kingdom to release a single, "New Rose" (1976), release a studio album, ''Damned Damned Damned'' (1977), and tour the United States. They have nine singles that charted on the UK Singles Chart Top 40. The band briefly broke up after '' Music for Pleasure'' (1977), the follow-up to their debut studio album, was critically dismissed. They quickly reformed without Brian James, and released ''Machine Gun Etiquette'' (1979). Mike Johnson (bassist)
Mike Johnson (born August 27, 1965) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and bass guitarist. He was born in Grants Pass, Oregon and fronted Eugene, Oregon punk band Snakepit from 1984 until their break up in 1989. He joined Dinosaur Jr. as bass player in 1991 and played with the band live and on its recordings from 1991 to 1998. He was briefly married to Juned's Leslie Hardy in 1994, and contributed to both the band's studio albums. He collaborated with Mark Lanegan on his first five solo albums, playing guitar, co-producing, and writing music. In 1994, he released his first solo album, ''Where Am I'', on Up Records, and he continued a solo career, alongside involvement with the bands Queens of the Stone Age and Caustic Resin up until 2006's ''Gone Out of Your Mind'', when he moved to France with his wife. ''Rocksmith 2014'' is a music video game produced by Ubisoft. It is a followup to the 2011 game ''Rocksmith'', but has been described as a replacement to the original game rather than a sequel. Like its predecessor, the game allows players to plug in virtually any electric guitar or bass guitar and play along via the use of a USB adapter – removing the need for any proprietary controller like other music games such as ''Guitar Hero''. The game comes with 66 songs on disk, with over a thousand more available to download as paid DLC. Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. Stephen Thomas Erlewine (; born June 18, 1973) is an American music critic and senior editor for the online music database AllMusic. He is the author of many artist biographies and record reviews for AllMusic, as well as a freelance writer, occasionally contributing liner notes.
