Vasily Nikolayevich Fedotov (russian: Василий Николаевич Федотов; 22 December 1915 – 9 January 1997) was a major general of the Soviet Army, who was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for his actions in battle in the Second World War while he was a Lieutenant Colonel. Biography Vasily Fedotov was born on 22 December 1915 in Kamen, Tomsk Governorate to a working-class Russian family. After finishing seven grades of school he worked as a driver. In 1935, Fedotov was drafted into the Red Army. In 1938, he graduated from the Omsk Infantry School, after which he fought in the Winter War and was wounded. Immediately after the German invasion of the Soviet Union, in July 1941, he was sent into combat in the Second World War. In 1942, Fedotov graduated from a course for regimental commanders. Pyotr Vasilyevich Fedotov (Russian: Пётр Васильевич Федотов; 18 December 1900 – 29 September 1963) was long time Soviet security and intelligence officer, head of counterintelligence in NKVD/NKGB and head of foreign intelligence as the deputy chairman of the Committee of Information. Fedotov was born in Saint Petersburg, into a family of conductors. From 1915 to 1919, he worked for the local newspaper. After the outbreak of the Russian Civil War, he served in the Red Army. In 1921, Fedotov joined the new Soviet security organization, the Cheka. He first served in the local Cheka/GPU/OGPU offices. Maxim Viktorovich Fedotov (born 24 July 1961) is a Russian violinist and conductor, People's Artist of Russia, son of the conductor Viktor Fedotov. Fedotov studied at the Special Music School in Leningrad and then at the Moscow Conservatory. Born in the Ust-Yansky District, Fedotova-Nulgynet began writing during her childhood, publishing her poetry in a variety of local and regional newspapers. She studied locally before traveling to the village of Khonuu to further her education. She graduated from high school in 1971, and in 1988 finished her degree ''in absentia'' from Yakutsk State University. Ivan Dmitrievich Fedotov (Russian: Иван Дмитревич Федотов; born 28 November 1996) is a Finnish-born Russian professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently under contract with the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). On 1 July 2022, after signing his NHL contract, Fedotov was arrested for alleged evasion of military service, which prevented him from joining the Philadelphia Flyers. Glikeriya Nikolaevna Fedotova (russian: Гликерия Николаевна Федотова, Pozdnyakova, Позднякова, 22 May 1846, Oryol, Russian Empire – 27 February 1925, Moscow, USSR) was a Russian actress associated with Moscow's Maly Theatre, honoured with the titles Meritorious Artist of the Imperial Theatres, People's Artist of the Republic (1924) and Hero of Labour (1924). She was also a personal friend and teacher of Konstantin Stanislavski. Of the 29 parts Fedotova had in Alexander Ostrovsky's plays, at least two (Snegurochka, Vasilissa Melentyevna) have been written specifically for her by the author.
