Federico Roman
Federico Roman (born 29 July 1952) is an Italian equestrian and Olympic champion. Biography Federico Roman won an individual gold medal in eventing at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. He was also a member of the Italian team that received a silver medal in ''team eventing'' at the same Olympics. He participated also to 1976 Summer Olympics and 1992 Summer Olympics. He is the brother of Mauro Roman. Pietro Roman
Pietro Roman (born 20 September 1989) is an Italian Olympic eventing rider. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where he finished 23rd in the individual and 9th in the team competition. Romam is an athlete of the G.S. Fiamme Oro. Biography Roman also participated at the 2015 European Eventing Championships, where he placed 6th with the Italian team in the team event. His brother Luca also participated at the 2016 Olympics. Equestrian At The 1976 Summer Olympics
The equestrian events at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal included show jumping, dressage and eventing. All three disciplines, except for the Nations Cup, were held at the equestrian stadium in Bromont, which had a capacity of 15,000 spectators, and the cross-country and steeplechase were also nearby. Building this stadium provided some headache for the Organizing Committee after the original estimate of 1 million Canadian dollars increased to CAD 4,425. Poland and Chile were not allowed to ship horses into the host country due to the concern of piroplasmosis, and France and Italy also had to keep some horses home due to veterinary regulations.
