Federico Melchiorri
Federico Melchiorri (born 6 January 1987) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Perugia. Biography Born in Treia, Melchiorri started his career with Serie D amateurs Tolentino and successively joined Siena in January 2006. He made his Serie A debut on 20 December 2006 in a game against Empoli when he came on as a last-minute substitute for Cristian Molinaro. Melchiorri was sold to Sambenedettese in co-ownership deal in 2007. He was then fully signed by Sambenedettese in 2009. He was successively forced to quit football after being diagnosed with cavernoma and undergoing surgery as a result. He resumed active football later in 2010 with former club Tolentino (Eccellenza), scoring 30 goals in 54 matches. In 2012–13 Melchiorri was sold to Maceratese (Serie D) and he scored 22 goals in 30 matches. Treia
Treia is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Macerata in the central Marche (Italy). It is north of Pollenza, west of Macerata, and north-northeast of Tolentino. Geography The site of the abandoned Roman municipium of Trea is situated in the middle valley of the River Potenza, some 30 km from the Adriatic shore. The town was located on a dominant plateau, 1 km north-west of present-day Treia, and just 3 km east of Monte Pitino, in an agrarian area around the church and convent of SS. Crocifisso. Remains The only remaining visible ruins are two small sections of the former city walls, partly incorporated in a now abandoned farm house. The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Promotion and relegation After the regular season is completed, the first-placed team for each division is automatically promoted to Serie D.
