Federbrau
Federbrau was a women's volleyball club, based in Bangkok, Thailand. The club played in the Thailand Volleyball Championship Serie A, which started in 2008. History The team won the 2009 Asian Club Championship, after defeating Tianjin Bridgestone at the final game. Onuma Sittirak won the MVP and Best Spiker award, Nootsara Tomkom Best Server and Wanna Buakaew Best Libero. In the 2010 Asian Club Championship the team successfully retained the crown against Zhetysu Almaty from Kazakhstan. Nootsara Tomkom won the MVP award and Sittirak winning the Best Scorer and Best Spiker awards for Federbrau. As the winner of the Asian Volleyball Confederation club tournament, the team earned the right to play at the 2010 FIVB Women's Club World Championship. Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship
The Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, previously the AVC Cup Women's Club Tournament (between 1999 and 2002), is an annual continental club volleyball competition organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continental governing body. The competition was first contested in 1999 in Thailand. It was not held in 2003 and 2020 due to 2002–2004 SARS outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic respectively. The winner of the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship qualifies for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. Tianjin Bohai Bank holds the record for most victories, winning the competition five times. Teams from China have won the tournament eight times, the most for any nation. The current Asian club champions is Kuanysh, who defeated Altay (3–2) in the final of the 2022 event. 2010 FIVB Women's Club World Championship
The 2010 FIVB Women's Club World Championship was the 4th edition of the event. It was held at the Al Gharafa Sports Hall in Doha, Qatar from December 15 to 21, 2010. Fenerbahçe were crowned World champions by defeating Brazilian powerhouse Sollys Osasco 3–0 in the final. Onuma Sittirak
Onuma Sittirak (, , ; born June 13, 1986, in Khian Sa) is a retired Thai volleyball player was a member of Thailand women's national volleyball team. She was born 13 June 1986 at Surat Thani, Thailand. Onuma graduated from Ratna Bundit University Career Onuma started playing volleyball as a spiker for Thailand's national team in 2006. In 2009, she helped the Thai team won the Asian Championship for the first time and was also awarded the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. During the tournament, she was called "Thailand's Toy Cannon" in an article by the Asian Volleyball Confederation. In addition, Onuma won the 2009 Asian Club Championship with her team Federbrau and was selected as the Most Valuable Player and Best Spiker. Malika Kanthong ( th, มลิกา กันทอง, born January 8, 1987) is a member of the Thailand women's national volleyball team. Career Malika won the Best Server individual award of the 2015–16 Azerbaijan Super League season, playing with Azeryol Baku, that lost to Lokomotiv Baku the bronze medal 0-3. Pleumjit Thinkaow ( th, ปลื้มจิตร์ ถินขาว; ; born 9 November 1983) is a Thai volleyball player. She was a member of the Thailand women's national volleyball team. Her international debut was at the 21st SEA Games in Malaysia. Personal life Pleumjit grew up in a sport-loving family in Angthong (a province about 100 km. north of Bangkok), having an elder brother. Her parents are civil servants. Before she started playing volleyball, she had been rather into table tennis. She switched to volleyball following her father's advice that volleyball was more fun and more likely to become popular. Wilavan Apinyapong ( th, วิลาวัณย์ อภิญญาพงศ์; RTGS: Wilawan Aphinyaphong, born June 6, 1984) is a Thai professional volleyball player who plays for Azerbaijan Club Igtisadchi Baku in the Azerbaijan Super League and the Thai National Team as an Outside Hitter. She was the captain for the Thailand women's national volleyball team from 2008 to 2016 when Pleumjit took the captain role. Apinyapong led the Thai team to win the first gold medal at 2009 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship and beaten China 3-1 for the first time in history. Nootsara Tomkom ( th, นุศรา ต้อมคำ; ) is a Thai volleyball player. She has been selected to play for the Thailand women's national volleyball team 39 times. Career She participated at the 2006 FIVB World Grand Prix. Tomkom played along Wilavan Apinyapong with the Spanish club CV JAV Olímpico, IBSA Club Voleibol for the 2007/2008 season of the Superliga Femenina de Voleibol, Spanish Superliga.
