Fearne Cotton (radio Show)
''Fearne Cotton'' was a British weekday radio show on BBC Radio 1, hosted by Fearne Cotton. The programme was on air from 21 September 2009 until 22 May 2015, when Fearne left the station. It was broadcast each morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and on Bank Holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The show focused on playing and interviewing new bands and styles of music. History On 21 September 2009, Fearne Cotton succeeded Jo Whiley for the 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. weekday slot following a major re-shuffle of Radio 1's schedules. The re-shuffle also saw Edith Bowman replaced with Greg James in the 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekday slot, as Jo and Edith both move to weekends. Goldfrapp are an English electronic music duo from London, formed in 1999. The duo consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesiser) and Will Gregory (synthesiser). Despite favourable reviews and a short-listing for the Mercury Prize, their 2000 début studio album ''Felt Mountain'' did not chart highly. Goldfrapp's second album ''Black Cherry'', which incorporated glam rock and synth-pop sounds into their music, was released in 2003. ''The Jo Whiley Show'' was a British weekday later weekend radio show on BBC Radio 1 hosted by Jo Whiley. The programme was on air from February 2001 to March 2011 and was broadcast each weekday morning between 10:00am and 12:45pm, and later 13:00-16:00 each weekend afternoon. Live Lounge
The Live Lounge is a segment on the British radio stations BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra. It was originally hosted by Simon Mayo, and later by Jo Whiley on her weekday mid-morning, and later weekend lunchtime radio shows, then by Fearne Cotton from 2009 until 2015, and then by Clara Amfo from May 2015 to August 2021. Since September 2021 the segment is now hosted by Rickie Haywood-Williams, Melvin Odoom and Charlie Hedges. It exhibits well-known artists usually performing one song of their own and one by another artist, in an acoustic format. The Live Lounge itself is also a physical room in the Radio 1 studios, from where some of the performances are broadcast; however, due to its size, many are done from the BBC Maida Vale Studios. Clara Amfo (born 22 May 1984) is a British radio broadcaster, television presenter, podcast host and voice-over artist. She is known for presenting her shows on BBC Radio 1. Early life and education Amfo was born in Kingston upon Thames in London to Ghanaian parents. Her father, who died in 2015, was an NHS microbiologist, and her mother a hospital cleaner.
