Fear And The Nervous System (album)
''Fear and the Nervous System'' is the sole album by American rock band Fear and the Nervous System, released on September 18, 2012. Background The project began in 2008 led by Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer, who began writing for the band after the death of his father. In early 2008 he started gathering musicians for his project, starting with drummer Brooks Wackerman of Bad Religion and various other projects, followed by Korn's touring keyboardist Zac Baird, Faith No More bassist Billy Gould, and io echo guitarist Leopold Ross. After recording the music, Shaffer introduced producer Ross Robinson to the band's music, who contacted Steve Krolikowski of Repeater to provide vocals. Fear and the Nervous System was an alternative metal/industrial rock band formed by Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer. The band released one self-titled album in 2012 and disbanded in 2014. History In early 2008, Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer announced plans to release a new project entitled Fear and the Nervous System (probably a reference to Michael Powell's 1960 film "Peeping Tom"). The record was said to be released in late 2008, through his own label, Emotional Syphon Recordings. The songs are being recorded at Music Grinder Studios in Hollywood, California. Faith No More
Faith No More is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1979. Before settling on the current name in July 1983, the band performed under the names Sharp Young Men and later Faith No Man. Bassist Billy Gould, keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Roddy Bottum and drummer Mike Bordin are the longest-remaining members of the band, having been involved since its inception. The band underwent several early lineup changes, and some major changes later. Wes Borland
Wesley Louden Borland (born February 7, 1975) is an American rock musician. He is best known as the current guitarist and backing vocalist of the rap metal band Limp Bizkit, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the alternative and industrial rock band Black Light Burns, and the co-founder of experimental metal band Big Dumb Face. He gained popularity when Limp Bizkit achieved mainstream success in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He formed Big Dumb Face with his brother Scott in 1998 and left Limp Bizkit in 2001 to start side projects including Eat the Day and The Damning Well. After rejoining Limp Bizkit in 2004, Borland founded Black Light Burns, with whom he has released three studio albums and a covers album. Repeater is a five-piece rock band from Long Beach, California. Biography The Main Frame days (2001-2004) The Main Frame was a Long Beach darkwave band formed in 2001 with Steve Krolikowski (vocals and guitar) and Rob Wallace (keyboard). After recording a full-length album, ''Curse of Evolution'' (2003) and an unreleased EP, the band decided to dissolve. Formation of Repeater (2005) Krolikowski and Wallace continued to work on music together, eventually forming Repeater and eventually added new members into the fold, including Alex Forsythe (guitar) and Matt Hanief (drums). Steve Krolikowski is an American musician who has provided lead vocals for three notable bands, The Main Frame, Repeater, and the supergroup Fear and the Nervous System. Career The Main Frame The Main Frame was a dark wave band from Long Beach, California formed in 2001 by Steve Krolikowski (vocals and guitar), Rob Wallace (keyboard), Bill Dungs Roman (bass) and Vaughn Klemz (drums). Vaughn Klemz was replaced by Trip Waterhouse in 2003. In 2002, the band recorded ''Skull EP'', followed by a full-length album, ''Curse of Evolution'' (2003) and a second unreleased EP, ''Beat To Death EP'' (2004). The band dissolved in 2005. Ross Robinson (born February 13, 1967) is an American record producer who discovered acts such as Korn, Glassjaw, The Blood Brothers, Slipknot, and Limp Bizkit. Robinson has also worked with Tech N9ne, The Cure, Sepultura, and many others. Biography The son of Bob Robinson and inspirational speaker Byron Katie, Robinson began as a thrash metal guitarist for the bands Detente and Murdercar (featuring future Machine Head drummer Dave McClain) and picked up his knowledge of producing from the studios where his band recorded demos and also worked at Blackie Lawless's studio, Fort Apache, in Burbank, CA. Leopold Ross
Leopold "Leo" Ross is an English musician, record producer, recording engineer and music programmer. Leopold is a guitarist in LA based band Io Echo. Career Leopold was a founding member of eclectic rock band Nojahoda who released one album on Sony S2 Records in 1999. In 2003 he joined his brother Atticus Ross, as well as Bad Religion member Brett Gurewitz in the punk/hardcore band Error. Along with temporary vocalist Greg Puciato, the band recorded and released a well received EP on Epitaph Records in 2004. Billy Gould
William David Gould (born April 24, 1963 in Los Angeles, California) is an American musician and producer. He is best known as the bassist of Faith No More. Biography Early years Billy said he is of Hungarian descent from his father's side. Faith No More Gould started playing the bass while he was at Loyola High School in Los Angeles with future Faith No More keyboardist Roddy Bottum. His first band during these early years was named "The Animated," a genre-bending new wave outfit that sounded something like a cross between The Buzzcocks, XTC and Michael Jackson.
