Arthur Henry Feagin (March 7, 1878 – March 25, 1932) was a college football player. Auburn University Feagin was a prominent halfback for John Heisman's Auburn Tigers football teams of the Alabama Polytechnic Institute. At Auburn he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. 1899 Feagin was captain and All-Southern in 1899. In Heisman's opinion this was his best team while at Auburn. Joe Richard Feagin (last name pronounced ; born May 6, 1938) is an American sociologist and social theorist who has conducted extensive research on racial and gender issues, especially in regard to the United States. He is currently the Ella C. McFadden Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M University. Feagin has taught at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, University of California, Riverside, University of Texas at Austin, University of Florida, and Texas A&M University. Feagin has done much research work on race and ethnic relations and has served as the scholar in residence at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. He has written over 60 books. He is the 2006 recipient of a Harvard Alumni Association achievement award and was the 1999–2000 president of the American Sociological Association. Marcus Feagin (born July 26, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Buffalo eXtreme of the American Basketball Association (ABA). He played college basketball for Monroe Community College. Feagin is a renowned rebounder, having statistically led multiple teams and leagues. History High school career Marcus Feagin was born in Niagara Falls, New York to Anthony Feagin and Shellie Thomas. He did not play organized basketball until his junior year at Niagara Falls High School. During his senior year, Feagin led his team to a 19–2 record and the Section VI Class A finals.
