Faouzi Chaouchi ( ar, فوزي شاوشي; born 5 December 1984) is an Algerian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for JS Bordj Ménaïel. Chaouchi is considered to be national hero by many Algerians, as he put in a heroic performance in the play-off that put the Algerian national team into their first World Cup finals since 1986 at the expense of their bitter rivals Egypt. Fawzi Salloukh (born 1931) is a Lebanese politician, who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 19 July 2005 to 2009. Early life and education Salloukh was born into a Shiite family in Qmatiye, Aley, Lebanon, in 1931. He graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1954 with a diploma in political Science. Career and alliances Salloukh is a Lebanese career diplomat who served as ambassador to Sierra Leone (1964–1971), Nigeria (1978–1985), Algeria (1985–1987), Austria (1990–1994), and Belgium (1994–1995). Fawzi Selu (1905–1972) ( ar, فوزي السلو, Fawzī al-Salū) was a Syrian military leader, politician and the President of Syria from December 3, 1951, to July 11, 1953. Career He studied at the Homs Military Academy and joined the French-sponsored ''Troupe Speciales'' that was created when France imposed its League of Nations mandate on Syria in July 1920. He had a successful military career, and when Syria became fully independent in 1946, he became the director of the academy. Ali Fawzi Rebaine ( ar, علي فوزي رباعين) (born 24 January 1955 in Algiers) is the leader of the Ahd 54 political party in Algeria. Fawzi Franso Toma Hariri (born 1958 in Arbil, Iraq) is an Assyrian politician and former Iraq Minister of Industry. Despite inaccurately being labeled as Kurdish throughout different media reports, Hariri is of Assyrian origin and son of the politician Franso Hariri (1937–2001). For 24 years, Fawzi lived in London where he was active in Assyrian, Kurdish, and Iraqi politics. He is a founding member of BNDP - Iraq, and a former member of the Assyrian National Congress (ANC) and the Assyrian Universal Alliance (AUA). Fawzi al-Ghazzi (1891–1929) ( ar, فوزي الغزي), was a Syrian politician known for being the creator of the Syrian constitution. Ghazzi was born in Damascus, and fought for the Turkish during World War I.
