Erich Waschneck
Erich John Waschneck (29 April 1887, in Grimma, Kingdom of Saxony – 22 September 1970, in Berlin) was a German cameraman, director, screenwriter, and film producer. Early life Erich was the son of Karl Hermann Waschneck, a blacksmith, and his wife Therese Emilie, née Schneider. Waschneck went to finishing school at the Leipzig Art Academy and studied painting. Career He came in contact with the film industry in 1907 when he began to paint posters for films. He then worked as a still photographer and later as a camera assistant to cinematographer Fritz Arno Wagner . In 1921, he did his first work as a cameraman in the adaptation of the fairy tale ''The Little Muck'' by Wilhelm Hauff. From 1924 he worked as a director. Ludwig Stössel (12 February 1883 – 29 January 1973) was an actor born in Lockenhaus, now Austria, then Hungary. He was one of many Jewish actors and actresses who were forced to flee Germany when the Nazis came to power in 1933. Biography Stössel began performing on the stage in Austria and Germany when he was only 17. He soon became a successful character actor and performed on the most prestigious stages in Germany, among them the Max Reinhardt, the stage and the in Berlin. Stössel later became a movie actor. His first motion picture was a small role in the silent movie ''In der Heimat, da gibt's ein Wiedersehn!'' (''We'll Meet Again in the Homeland'') in 1926 at the age of 43. Kurt Vespermann (1 May 1887 – 13 July 1957) was a German stage and film actor. Career Vespermann was born into an actor's family in Culmsee, West Prussia, Imperial Germany today Chełmża, Poland. Already his great-grandparents were actors and directors at different operas and theatres. Vespermann began his career in 1913 at the Royal Schauspielhaus Berlin and first appeared in silent movies in 1915. Francis I (Francis Stephen; french: François Étienne; german: Franz Stefan; 8 December 1708 – 18 August 1765) was Holy Roman Emperor, Archduke of Austria, Duke of Lorraine and Bar, and Grand Duke of Tuscany. He became the ruler of the Holy Roman Empire, Austria, and Tuscany through his marriage to Maria Theresa, daughter of Emperor Charles VI. Henry Stuart (1 February 1885 – 26 January 1948) was a Swiss film actor known for his work in Germany. Stuart was born in Cairo as son of a Swiss doctor, but educated in Britain. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, intending to become a painter. After moving into the German film industry following the First World War, Stuart played a number of prominent supporting roles in productions such as '' Joyless Street'' (1925).Isenberg p.142 Stuart's film career largely ended with the arrival of sound, and he worked increasingly on the stage.
