''Fausto'' is a Canadian docufiction film, directed by Andrea Bussmann and released in 2018. Andrea Bussmann
Andrea Bussmann (born 1980) is a Canadian film director and screenwriter, most noted for her 2018 film '' Fausto''. The film was longlisted for the Directors Guild of Canada's Discovery Award in 2018, and was shortlisted for the Vancouver Film Critics Circle's award for Best Canadian Film at the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards 2018. Bussmann was also shortlisted for Best Director of a Canadian Film. The Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) is a Canadian labour union representing more than 5,500 professionals from 48 different occupations in the Canadian film and television industry. Founded in 1962, the DGC represents directors, editors, assistant directors, location managers, production assistants and others. The "DGC" has district councils in the following provinces; British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador and the Atlantic District Council (representing New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island). The Vancouver Film Critics Circle (VFCC) was founded in 2000 by David Spaner and Ian Caddell, in order to help promote Canadian films and the British Columbia Film and Television Industry. Its membership includes print, radio, on-line, and television critics, either based in Vancouver or with Vancouver outlets.
