Benjamin Faunce
Benjamin Rice Faunce Jr. (1873–1949) was an American Pharmacist, druggist and businessman who created the soft drink Boost! and established the Boost! Company. Early life Faunce was born in 1873 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Benjamin Rice Faunce and Clarinda Lockard. Career Faunce later moved to Riverside Township, New Jersey, Riverside, New Jersey where he became a licensed druggist in 1905. He sold remedies he had created such as headache capsules, cough syrup and toothpaste. Faunce reportedly set out to create a soft drink without bubbles and around 1910, invented a drink which he called "Tak-Aboost". He dispensed the drink in concentrated form from a soda fountain. In 1913, after years of experimenting with the drink, Faunce registered the brand as a trademark. He formed the Boost! Daniel Worcester Faunce (January 3, 1829 – January 3, 1911) was an American clergyman and the father of William Faunce, born at Plymouth, Massachusetts to Peleg and Olive (Finney) Faunce. Graduating from Amherst College in 1850, he then studied at the Newton Theological Institution, was ordained to the Baptist ministry in 1853, and thereafter held charges from 1853 to 1866 in Somerville, Worcester, and Malden β€” all in Massachusetts β€” in Concord, New Hampshire (1866–1875), Lynn, Massachusetts (1875–1881), Washington, D.C. Jennifer Faunce (born January 6, 1965) is an American politician and judge from Michigan. Faunce is a judge of the Macomb County Circuit Court in Michigan. Previously she was a judge of the 37th District Court based in Warren Michigan from 2003-2013. Faunce was a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives. Marcus de Laune "Marc" Faunce, CVO, AM, OBE, FRCP, FRACP (5 December 1922 – 14 June 2004) was a Canberra consultant physician, head of Royal Canberra Hospital, doctor to five Australian Prime Ministers and six Governors-General of Australia and former Senior Physician Consultant to the RAAF. Early medical career Faunce was educated at St Peter's College, Adelaide. After obtaining his medical qualifications from Adelaide University in 1946 (winning first place in Anatomy and Physiology 1943) he served in the Australian Army Medical Corps as part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force in post-war Japan, near Hiroshima. Thomas Faunce (Thomas Alured Faunce) (1958–2019) was a professor at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia. He practiced both law and medicine, and his professorship was a joint one, being in both the ANU College of Law and Medical School. William Faunce
William Herbert Perry Faunce (January 15, 1859 – January 31, 1930) was an American Baptist clergyman and educator. Biography William Faunce was born at Worcester, Massachusetts. His father was clergyman Daniel Faunce. He graduated in 1880 at Brown University (where he then taught mathematics for a year), and at 1884 at Newton Theological Seminary, and from 1884 to 1889 was pastor of the State Street Baptist Church of Springfield, Massachusetts. From 1889 to 1899 he was pastor of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church of New York City, New York, in 1896-97 he lectured in the Divinity School of the University of Chicago, and in 1898-99 he was a member of the board of resident preachers of Harvard University.
