Faultline Records
Faultline Entertainment Group also known as Faultline Records is an Australian independent record label based in Melbourne. It was founded in 1998 by metal music producer, dw Norton, and began as a development label. As of 2007 it has taken on partners Richard De Silva and Gary Buckley to become a full-time independent record label within Australian and Overseas. Faultline Entertainment Group has opened an office in Florida and in the near future will be opening offices in the UK and Japan. Distribution for Faultline releases within Australia are handled by both Shock Records and MGM Distribution. Faultline artist, Daysend, were signed and distributed by Metal Blade Records in the US. In 2008 the label won a National Musicoz Award for Best Metal or Hardcore Artist, for Gasma, from Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA). DW Norton
Richard William "DW" Norton (born 22 February 1970), is a Scottish-born Australian entertainer, songwriter, producer, guitarist and founding mainstay of metallers, Superheist (1993–2004, 2016–present). In 1998 he established Faultline Records – he has worked as the label's in house producer and CEO. He lives with his wife and fellow artist, London Gabraelle-Norton. Biography DW Norton was the guitarist for Big Pop Monsters, an alternative rock group, alongside Rod "Berger" McLeod on vocals, Sean Pentecost on drums and Adrian Sudborough on bass guitar. In 1993 Norton, McLeod, Pentecost and Sudborough were joined by Fetah Sabawi on keyboards and samples to form Superheist in Frankston. Synthetic Breed
Synthetic Breed were an Australian heavy metal band formed in 2002. Their long-term members were Jonas Bahlo on bass guitar and backing vocals, Callan Hughes on lead vocals, Daniel Luttick on drums and Vincent Zylstra on lead guitar and backing vocals. They issued two studio albums, ''Catatonic'' (April 2008) and ''Perpetual Motion Machine'' (October 2010). History Synthetic Breed originated as a four-piece industrial death metal band with Vincent Zylstra and Reza Nasseri on lead guitars, Jonas Bahlo on bass guitar and Mark Condello on lead vocals. Nick Bose on drums joined and left the band a number of times, but never actually played drums live. By March 2004 Daniel Luttick became their drummer. Junkee Media, formerly known as Sound Alliance, is a digital media company based in Australia. According to the company, Junkee Media's websites attract a monthly audience of over 2 million unique browsers. Nearly 70 per cent of the website's traffic comes from mobile devices and the biggest referrer to the network is Facebook. History Junkee Media was founded in 2000 when Matt Callander, Libby Clark and Andre Lackmann launched their dance music website ''inthemix''. Superheist
Superheist is an Australian metal band, which formed in 1993. They have released two EPs, thirteen singles, one compilation/live album and four studio albums, two of which, 2001's ''The Prize Recruit'' and 2002's ''Identical Remote Controlled Reactions'', reached the top 20 on the ARIA Albums Chart. After a twelve-year hiatus, their 2016 comeback album "Ghosts of the Social Dead" reached No. 3 on the AIR Charts and remained in the Top 10 for four weeks. Four of the group's singles, "Crank the System" (November 2000), "Bullet" (March 2001), " 7 Years" (May 2002) and "A Dignified Rage" (September 2002), each peaked in the Top 50 on the related ARIA Singles Chart. Five Star Prison Cell
Five Star Prison Cell was an Australian four-piece band from Melbourne, Australia, whose music was generally labelled as tech metal or math rock. They were known for their use of unusual time signatures, dissonant guitar riffs, and a vocal approach that explored many different avenues and styles. History Five Star Prison Cell was formed in 2004 from members of various other bands. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States.
