Fathom (comics)
''Fathom'' is a comic book created by Michael Turner (comics), Michael Turner and originally published by Top Cow Productions. It debuted in 1998 and was Michael Turner's first creator-owned comic book series. ''Fathom'' is currently published by Turner's own company, Aspen Comics, Aspen MLT. Publication history ''Fathom'' was created by Michael Turner, who said that he found the inspiration from an issue of ''National Geographic (magazine), National Geographic''. The first series began in 1998 and was abruptly halted in 2002 when it was discovered that Turner had been diagnosed with cancer. During the period of inactivity on the main series, comic book artist Talent Caldwell drew a miniseries titled ''Fathom: Killian's Tide''. After Turner's cancer went into remission, he left Top Cow and launched his own company, Aspen Comics, Aspen MLT Inc. Michael Turner (comics)
Michael Layne Turner (April 21, 1971 – June 27, 2008) was an American comics artist known for his work on ''Witchblade'', '' Fathom'', ''Superman/Batman'', '' Soulfire'', and various covers for DC Comics and Marvel Comics. He was also the president of the entertainment company Aspen MLT. Early life Michael Turner was born in Crossville, Tennessee on April 21, 1971. He was a student at the University of Tennessee, and graduated from the International Performing Arts Academy after which he moved to San Diego, California, where he developed an interest in comics. Career Turner was discovered by Marc Silvestri at a convention and hired by Silvestri's Top Cow Productions as an artist. He initially did background illustrations for Top Cow titles before co-creating ''Witchblade''. In the summer of 1998 he debuted the creator-owned '' Fathom'', having also worked on his new series '' Soulfire''. Witchblade
''Witchblade'' is a comic book series published by Top Cow Productions, an imprint of Image Comics, which ran from November 1995 to October 2015. The series was created by Top Cow founder and owner Marc Silvestri, editor David Wohl, writers Brian Haberlin and Christina Z, and artist Michael Turner. The ''Witchblade'' comic was adapted into a television series in 2001, as well as an anime, a manga and a novel in 2006. A feature film based on the comic, titled ''The Witchblade'', was announced for a 2009 release, but was never produced. A second ''Witchblade'' television series was announced for development in January 2017, but there has been no update since. Lara Croft is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the video game franchise ''Tomb Raider''. She is presented as a highly intelligent and athletic British archaeologist who ventures into ancient tombs and hazardous ruins around the world. Sea monsters are beings from folklore believed to dwell in the sea and often imagined to be of immense size.
