''Fat Cat and Friends'' was an Australian children's television show starring Fat Cat (full name: Frederick Alphonso Tubsy Cat or Francis Aloysius Tom Cat), a costumed character, who is an orange/ginger anthropomorphic cat who wears red braces, a blue bow tie and a green bowler hat and striped socks. The show ran from 1972 to 1991, after which it was cancelled in controversial circumstances. Michael Smyth (journalist)
Michael Smyth is an Australian journalist and broadcaster based in Adelaide, South Australia. Career Smyth was a reporter and newsreader with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in its Adelaide newsroom for almost 12 years. During that time he read the South Australian edition of the 7PM TV News. He also reported for and produced the now-defunct weekly ABC TV local current affairs program '' Stateline'' and occasionally presented programs on 891 ABC Adelaide. In 2005 he won the SA Media Award for Best TV Broadcaster. In September 2008 Smyth left the ABC to join NWS–9 as a senior reporter for ''Nine News'' and in 2011 began presenting the weekday news with Kate Collins. In October that year it was announced that Smyth's contract would not be renewed, as part of cost-cutting measures by then station owner WIN TV. Patsy Biscoe
Patsy Biscoe (born 21 March 1946) is an Australian children's television personality, singer and guitarist. She regularly appeared on children's national television shows, ''Here's Humphrey'' and ''Fat Cat and Friends''. She has released many children's music albums containing nursery rhymes and similar children's songs and has sold in excess of 500,000 units in her musical career. Early life and training Biscoe was born in Shimla, India, to a British army officer and a civil servant. She came to Australia and settled in Sydney with her family during the Partition of India, and they moved to Sandy Bay in Hobart when she was nine. She won a classical singing scholarship after making an unscheduled appearance at the St Mary's College annual eisteddfod. Parliament House, Perth is located on Harvest Terrace in West Perth, Western Australia. It is the home of the Parliament of Western Australia, including the Legislative Council (upper house) and Legislative Assembly (lower house). ''Animal Hospital'' is a British television show starring Australian singer and TV presenter Rolf Harris that ran on BBC One from 1994 to 2004 and more recently starring Phil Dixon. The series featured animal welfare stories from many RSPCA hospitals, including: Harmsworth Animal Hospital in North London. Locations Harmsworth Animal Hospital in North London was the first of three RSPCA hospitals that opened their doors to allow the BBC to produce this factual television show which ran for over a decade. The programmes were presented by Rolf Harris. After Harmsworth, the series moved to the Putney Animal Hospital in South London, and then to Salford Animal Hospital in Greater Manchester.
