Fast Forward (band)
Fast Forward was a Canadian band formed in 1984 in Vancouver. Featuring Ian Lloyd (musician), Ian Lloyd, former lead singer of Stories (band), Stories and a solo artist, the band released one album, ''Living in Fiction''. History Prior to the formation of Fast Forward, Ian Lloyd, had developed a solo career, following the 1974 breakup of his former band, Stories. Lloyd released three solo albums between 1976 and 1980, including "Goosebumps" and "3WC (Third Wave Civilization)". "3WC" was notable for its inclusion of Lloyd's cover of "Straight from the Heart (Bryan Adams song), Straight from the Heart", three years prior to Bryan Adams releasing his own version, to worldwide acclaim. It also was co-produced by Bruce Fairbairn and featured Adams' then songwriting partner Jim Vallance, contributing many of the songs and playing drums. Beau Hill
Beau Hill is an American record producer who is best known for his work with Alice Cooper, Kix, Winger, Streets, Warrant, Fiona, Europe, and Ratt. He also played instruments and sang backing vocals for some of the artists that he produced, as well as for his own bands Airborne (which had a record released in 1979 on Columbia), and Shanghai, who both released albums in the early 1980s. Hill was one of the founding partners of Interscope Records. Biography At age six Beau entered The Texas Conservatory of Music and studied classical piano and composition. New Wave Music
New wave is a loosely defined music genre that encompasses pop-oriented styles from the late 1970s and the 1980s. It was originally used as a catch-all for the various styles of music that emerged after punk rock, including punk itself. Later, critical consensus favored "new wave" as an umbrella term involving many popular music styles of the era, including power pop, synth-pop, ska revival, and more specific forms of punk rock that were less abrasive. Krokus is a hard rock/ heavy metal band from Switzerland. They enjoyed success in North America during the 1980s. Krokus was founded in Solothurn in 1975 by Chris von Rohr (vocals and multi-instruments) and Tommy Kiefer (guitar), both former members of Kaktus. Lovin' Every Minute Of It
''Lovin' Every Minute of It'' is the fourth studio album, released in 1985 by the rock band Loverboy. The album became a hit thanks to the title track which reached #9 at US Hot 100, while "This Could Be The Night" was #10, "Dangerous" #65 and "Lead A Double Life" #68. The album went double platinum, being the last of the band's to do so. Due to scheduling conflicts this is the first album the band did not use Bruce Fairbairn as their producer. Loverboy is a Canadian rock band formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. Loverboy's hit singles, particularly " Turn Me Loose" and " Working for the Weekend", have become arena rock staples and are still heard on many classic rock and classic hits radio stations across Canada and the United States. After being rejected by many American record labels, they signed with Columbia/CBS Records Canada and began recording their first album on March 20, 1980.
