Farouk Abdesselem
Farouk Abdesselem (born 9, September 1991) is a French Karateka and a national coach of the South Korean karate team, and a former coach of Indonesian Karate team. Holder of -84 kilogram, Farouk has represented France in several championships of the World European championship, and European games. He won the bronze medal in the Premier League in Lisbon and qualified for the Olympic tournament (TQO) in Paris to represent the French team for Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. In 2022, Farouk became the national coach of the Indonesian Karate team for the 2021 SEA Games which won five gold, six bronze, and three silver medals. Farouk is the 5th in the world in 84 kg Karateka, with multi-medalists at international tournaments. European Karate Championships
The European Karate Championships are organised by the European Karate Federation each year. History Events from 1966 to 1996 were organized by the European Karate Union. In 1961, Jacques Delcourt was appointed President of French Karate, which was at that stage, an associated member of the Judo Federation. In 1963, he invited six other known European federations (Italy, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Spain) to come to France for the first-ever international karate event. Great Britain and Belgium accepted the invitation. By 1965, the European Karate Union was created with Jacques Delcourt voted in as President. The following year the first European Karate Championships were held in Paris. The event drew roughly three hundred spectators and was shown live on television. 2021 Southeast Asian Games
The 2021 Southeast Asian Games ( vi, Đại hội Thể thao Đông Nam Á 2021, lit=2021 Southeast Asian Sport Festival), officially known as the 31st Southeast Asian Games, or the 31st SEA Games and also known as Vietnam 2021, was the 31st edition of the Southeast Asian Games, the biennial regional multi-sport event which was held in Hanoi, Vietnam and its surrounding cities from 12 to 23 May 2022. Originally planned to take place from 21 November to 2 December 2021, it was eventually rescheduled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. Featuring 526 events in 40 different sports, the edition follows the sports played in the Olympic Games, Olympics, massively rolling back events from the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, previous edition. This was the second time that Vietnam had hosted the games, having previously done so for the 2003 Southeast Asian Games, 2003 edition.
