Farnborough is a coastal rural locality in the Livingstone Shire, Queensland, Australia. In the Farnborough had a population of 476 people. Geography Farnborough is the northernmost extent of the Capricorn Coast. Farnborough's eastern boundary is a 17 km long beachfront onto the Coral Sea. However, the principal access to the beach is via Bangalee, a small beachside locality within Farnborough. In the southern part of Farnborough, there are a number of large rural residential blocks. Farnborough is a village and civil parish in West Berkshire, about south of Wantage. The village is above sea level on a ridge aligned east – west in the Berkshire Downs. It is the highest village in Berkshire. Geography The Office for National Statistics no longer publishes Farnborough's population total separately. For the 2011 Census the ONS grouped Farnborough with its smaller neighbour Catmore. It recorded the combined population of the two parishes as 102. But Farnborough remains a separate civil parish, governed by its own parish meeting. Farnborough parish comprises of chalk downland. Farnborough was a rural district in Warwickshire, England from 1894 to 1932. The Farnborough Airshow, officially the Farnborough International Airshow, is a trade exhibition for the aerospace and defence industries, where civilian and military aircraft are demonstrated to potential customers and investors. Since its first show in 1948, Farnborough has seen the debut of many famous planes, including the Vickers VC10, Concorde, the Eurofighter, the Airbus A380, and the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.
