Farm to Market Road 2696 (FM 2696) is a farm to market road in Bexar County, Texas. It is known in Greater San Antonio as Blanco Road, a major north–south thoroughfare. Route description FM 2696 begins at Interstate 410 at the western fringe of Uptown San Antonio, just east of Castle Hills. The route travels north through north central San Antonio, crossing Wurzbach Parkway and Loop 1604. It then runs along the eastern edge of the Camp Bullis Military Training Reservation. The FM 2696 designation ends at the San Antonio city limit south of the Comal County line. Blanco Road itself continues under Comal County maintenance to an intersection with SH 46 in Bulverde. Interstate 410 (abbreviated I-410, and colloquially called Loop 410) is a loop route of I-10 around San Antonio, Texas. It is identified as Connally Loop in honor of former Texas Governor John Connally. Route description I-410 circumnavigates the city of San Antonio, officially beginning and ending at the junction with I-35 on the southwest side of the loop. There are vast differences between the northern arc and southern arc of the loop. Wurzbach Parkway
Wurzbach Parkway is a part freeway and part major arterial road in San Antonio, Texas, built to provide relief on Interstate 410 (I-410) and Loop 1604 on the city's north side. The highway is named for Harry M. Wurzbach, who represented the San Antonio area in Congress as a Republican in the 1920s and 1930s. The congressman's name was first applied to the connecting Wurzbach Road. The highway's western third was built as an expressway with at-grade intersections and the remainder as a freeway. The opening in September 2015 of an interchange with U.S. Highway 281 (US 281) completed primary construction of the parkway. Camp Bullis Military Training Reservation is a U.S. Army training camp comprising in Bexar County, Texas, USA, just northwest of San Antonio. Camp Bullis provides base operations support and training support to Joint Base San Antonio. The camp is named for Brigadier General John L. Bullis. Camp Bullis and Camp Stanley make up the Leon Springs Military Reservation. Camp Bullis is used primarily as maneuvering grounds for U.S. Army, Air Force, and Marine combat units.
