Farm To Market Road 1905
Farm To Market Road 1905 (FM 1905) is a farm-to-market road in the U.S. state of Texas, maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation. The entire route is in the town of Anthony, which is located across the state line from New Mexico. It is the first road with which Interstate 10 has an interchange after entering Texas from New Mexico. FM 1905 begins at the state border as a continuation of NM 225, and ends at Interstate 10 in Anthony. A short segment is concurrent with SH 20. The FM 1905 designation was first assigned in 1951, and was extended to its current route in 1969. Anthony is an incorporated town in El Paso County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,011 at the 2010 census. As of July 1, 2018, the population estimate for the town from the U.S. Census was 5,655. It is the first town encountered in Texas when traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 from New Mexico. State Road 225 (NM 225) is a , paved, two-lane state highway in Doña Ana County in the U.S. state of New Mexico. NM 225's western terminus is north of La Union at the road's junction with NM 28. The road's eastern terminus is near Anthony at the Texas state line where it continues east as Farm to Market Road 1905 (FM 1905) in Texas. NM 225 is also known as Washington Street. Concurrency (road)
A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing. State Highway 20 (SH 20) is a highway maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) that runs from New Mexico State Road 460 at the state line between Texas and New Mexico at Anthony in El Paso County to Interstate 10 at McNary in Hudspeth County. It largely follows a former alignment of U.S. Route 80. The route passes through the city of El Paso as well as suburban and rural farming communities along the Rio Grande. Anthony is a city in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 9,360 at the 2010 census. It is located on the New Mexico–Texas state line in the Upper Mesilla Valley (immediately north of Anthony, Texas), and on Interstate 10, 24 miles south of Las Cruces and 18 miles north of El Paso, Texas.
