Farm Relief
''Farm Relief'' is a 1929 animated short subject produced by Columbia Pictures, featuring Krazy Kat. The film is also the character's fifth to employ sound after the studio made the transition less than a year before. Plot Krazy lives in a barn with his farm animals. Whenever he has no farm work to do, he plays on his piano. One day a pig in black coat and sunglasses comes to the farm. He then puts up a stand to sell liquor. His first customer is a cow. The cow, after drinking a few ounces, then heads to tell the other animals. They too are instrested as they flock to the stand. Eventually, Krazy learns of this when he sees an intoxicated chicken. Though he reprimands that fowl for drinking, he also becomes interested when other animals come and offer him a bottle. And when he too drinks and gets intoxicated, Krazy celebrates by playing a piano and singing the song ''Down by the Old Mill Stream''. The animals join his singing. Manny Gould
Emanuel Gould (May 30, 1904 – July 19, 1975) was an American animated cartoonist from the 1920s to the 1970s, best known for his contributions as a director, writer and animator for Screen Gems, and solely an animator for Warner Bros. Cartoons and DePatie–Freleng Enterprises. Career Manny Gould began his career as a teenager working for several New York-based animation studios. He would later partner with Ben Harrison to form the short lived Harrison-Gould studios. Both later moved to Winkler Pictures to work on the '' Krazy Kat'' cartoon series as animators, writers and directors. After Charles Mintz took over Winkler Pictures, the studio was moved to Los Angeles in 1931 to develop The Charles Mintz Studio (later renamed Screen Gems) after establishing a partnership with Columbia Pictures. Big Cartoon Database
The Big Cartoon DataBase (or BCDB for short) is an online database of information about animated cartoons, animated feature films, animated television shows, and cartoon shorts. The BCDB project began in 1997 as a list of Disney animated features on creator Dave Koch's local computer. In response to increasing interest in the material, the database went online in 1998 as a searchable resource dedicated to compiling information about cartoons, including production details such as voice actors, producers, and directors, as well as plot summaries and user reviews of cartoons. In 2003, BCDB became a 501(c) non-profit corporation. On June 24, 2009, it was announced by creator Dave Koch on his BCDB forums that the site had 100,000 titles. Due to system issues that have been unable to be resolved, all cartoon information on the site is non-existent after 2019. Users are no longer able to contribute to the site due to the issue. Friz Freleng
Isadore "Friz" Freleng (August 21, 1905May 26, 1995), credited as I. Freleng early in his career, was an American animator, cartoonist, director, producer, and composer known for his work at Warner Bros. Cartoons on the ''Looney Tunes'' and '' Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons. In total he created more than 300 cartoons. He introduced and/or developed several of the studio's biggest stars, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam (to whom he was said to bear more than a passing resemblance), and Speedy Gonzales. The senior director at Warners' Termite Terrace studio, Freleng directed more cartoons than any other director in the studio (a total of 266), and is also the most honored of the Warner directors, having won five Academy Awards and three Emmy Awards.
