Chris Farlowe (born John Henry Deighton, 13 October 1940) is an English rock, blues and soul singer. He is best known for his hit single " Out of Time" written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, which rose to No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart in 1966, and his association with bands Atomic Rooster, the Thunderbirds and Colosseum. Outside his music career, Farlowe collects war memorabilia. Career Farlowe was born in Islington, North London. His musical career began with a skiffle group, the John Henry Skiffle Group, in 1957, before he joined the Johnny Burns Rhythm and Blues Quartet in 1958. He met guitarist Bob Taylor in 1959 and, through Taylor, joined the Thunderbirds, who went on to record five singles for the Columbia label. Jarred Farlow (born 17 October 1986) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2010s for the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League. Scott Glynn Farlow is an Australian politician. He has been a Member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since the 2015 NSW state election, representing the Liberal Party. Farlow previously served as Mayor of the Municipality of Strathfield, elected to the position at just 23 years of age. Stanley Jerome Farlow (born 1937) is an American mathematician specializing in differential equations. For many years he has been a professor at the University of Maine. Life Farlow earned a bachelor's degree in physics at Iowa State University and a master's degree in mathematics at the University of Iowa. From 1962 to 1968 he was a lieutenant commander in the PHS, completing his Ph.D. in mathematics at Oregon State University in 1967. Talmage Holt Farlow (June 7, 1921 – July 25, 1998) was an American jazz guitarist. He was nicknamed "Octopus" because of how his large, quick hands spread over the fretboard. As Steve Rochinski notes, "Of all the guitarists to emerge in the first generation after Charlie Christian, Tal Farlow, more than any other, has been able to move beyond the rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic vocabulary associated with the early electric guitar master. Tessa King-Farlow (born 2 February 1941) is a British garden designer, former chair of the Birmingham Royal Ballet, and former High Sheriff of the West Midlands. William Gilson Farlow (December 17, 1844 – June 3, 1919) was an American botanist, born in Boston, Massachusetts, and educated at Harvard (A.B., 1866; M.D., 1870), where, after several years of European study, he became adjunct professor of botany in 1874 and professor of cryptogamic botany in 1879. Farlow corresponded with Caroline Bingham and Jacob Georg Agardh collaborating in the identification and classification of species of algae previously unknown to science. In 1899 he was president of the American Society of Naturalists; in 1904 president of the National Academy of Sciences; in 1905 president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science; and in 1911 president of the Botanical Society of America.
