''Far from Saints'' is the debut album by the trio Far from Saints, composed of Welsh singer-songwriter Kelly Jones and Patty Lynn and Dwight Baker of the American band the Wind and the Wave, who became friends with Jones after touring with his band Stereophonics in 2013. It was released on 16 June 2023 through Ignition Records. Kelly Jones
Kelly Jones (born 3 June 1974) is a Welsh singer-songwriter and a founding member, lead singer, and guitarist of the rock band Stereophonics. Early life and debut Kelly Jones was born youngest of three boys for Beryl and Arwyn Jones in the small Welsh former mining village of Cwmaman, Rhondda Cynon Taf, spending his childhood with them and his two older brothers, Kevin and Lee. Both of his parents worked in factories. His father coached youth football and pursued his own singing career. The name of Arwyn's backing band, Oscar and the Kingfishers, earned him the nickname 'Oscar' among friends and family. He went on to secure a record deal with Polydor, who renamed him 'Arwyn Davidson' due to the sheer number of Joneses in the music business at the time. ''Don't Let the Devil Take Another Day'' is the first live album by Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones. The album features 21 tracks on two discs, eighteen Stereophonics tracks, two tracks from Jones' 2007 solo album '' Only the Names Have Been Changed'' and a cover version of the Kris Kristofferson song, " Help Me Make It Through the Night". The album was recorded a variety of locations across Jones' 2019 solo tour. The album was also accompanied by a documentary of the same name in which Jones discusses his personal life. The Wind and The Wave (stylized as The Wind + The Wave) is an American band composed of Dwight A. Baker and Patricia Lynn. Background Dwight Baker and Patricia Lynn played their first show on July 4, 2013, in Austin, Texas, opening for Bob Schneider. Previously, Lynn had been the lead singer of The Soldier Thread and Baker worked both in front of the microphone as well as in the recording studio for Alpha Rev, Brandi Carlile, Blue October, and Bob Schneider. In addition, Baker has also written music for Kelly Clarkson, and is the owner/operator of Matchbox Studios in Austin. Signed to RCA Records in 2013, their debut album, ''From the Wreckage'', was released on August 5, 2014. Stereophonics are a Welsh rock band formed in 1992 in the village of Cwmaman in the Cynon Valley, Wales. The band consists of Kelly Jones (lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards), Richard Jones (bass guitar, harmonica, backing vocals), Adam Zindani (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jamie Morrison (drums, percussion) and touring member Tony Kirkham (keyboards).
