Far Cry (film)
''Far Cry'' is a 2008 English-language German action film loosely adapted from the Far Cry, video game of the same name. The film is directed by Uwe Boll and stars Til Schweiger. It was a major box-office bomb and received negative reviews. Plot In a remote jungle at nighttime, a mercenary squad is shown tracking down several escaped test subjects, only to be slaughtered by a lone mutant. Their employer, Dr. Krieger, is informed about the event and is asked to stop his research, Krieger refusing to do so. The film then skips to Valerie Cardinal, an American journalist who is secretly receiving information about the events and the truth about Krieger's research by an informant. She agrees to meet with him in person on a remote South Asian island to receive the rest. Uwe Boll
Uwe Boll (; born June 22, 1965) is a German filmmaker. He came to prominence during the 2000s for his adaptations of video game franchises which often starred international stars like Jason Statham, Burt Reynolds, Ray Liotta, Christian Slater, Elisabeth Moss, Nate Parker, J. K. Simmons and Ben Kingsley.
