Nicholas Fanti (born December 30, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Career Fanti attended Hauppauge High School in Hauppauge, New York. As a senior, he pitched consecutive no-hitters for the school's baseball team. In his senior year, he won the Carl Yastrzemski Award, given to the best high school baseball player in Suffolk County. Manfredo Fanti (23 February 1806 – 5 April 1865) was an Italian general; he is known as the founder of the Regio Esercito. Biography Manfredo Fanti was born at Carpi (Emilia-Romagna) and educated at the military college of Modena. In 1831 he was implicated in the revolutionary movement organized by Ciro Menotti, and was condemned to death and hanged in effigy, but escaped to France, where he was given an appointment in the French corps of engineers. In 1833 he took part in Mazzini's abortive attempt to invade Savoy, and in 1835 he went to Spain to serve in Queen Christina's army against the Carlists. Ryan Fanti (born October 3, 1999) is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender for the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL as a prospect for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Guido Fanti (27 May 1925 – 11 February 2012) was an Italian politician. From 1979–1989 he served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). He was a member of the Italian Communist Party. Biography Fanti was born in 1925. He enrolled at the university but was forced to leave it during the Second World War. He was called to arms in 1943 but soon joined the Italian resistance movement, partisan resistance. In 1945, after the liberation of Bologna, he joined the Italian Communist Party. Bartolomeo Fanti (c. 1428 - 5 December 1495) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest from the Carmelite order in Mantua. Fanti served as the spiritual director and rector of a religious movement in his hometown and oversaw the establishment of their rule and statutes while himself serving as a novice master for his own order where he became known for being an effective preacher. The Fanti drongo (''Dicrurus atactus'') is a species of bird in the family Dicruridae. It is found in sub-Sahara Africa from Sierra Leone to southwestern Nigeria. The Fanti drongo was described by the American ornithologist Harry C. Oberholser in 1899 from a specimen collected in the Fanti district of Ghana. He considered it as a subspecies of the velvet-mantled drongo (''Dicrurus modestus'') and introduced the trinomial name ''Dicrurus modestus atactus''. The specific epithet ''atactus'' is from the Ancient Greek ατακτος ''ataktos'' "disorderly" or "lawless".
