''Fantastica Mania'' 2020 was a professional wrestling show tour, scripted and co-produced by the Japanese New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) promotion and the Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) promotion. The tour started on January 10 and ran until January 21, 2020, with shows taking place in Osaka, Ehime, Kyoto, Aichi, and four shows in Tokyo at Korakuen Hall. The 2020 tour was the tenth year in a row that NJPW and CMLL has co-promoted shows in Japan under the ''Fantastica Mania'' name. With a total of eight shows, the tour tied the 2018 tour and the 2019 tour as the longest in ''Fantastica Mania'' history. Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. (CMLL; , "World Wrestling Council") is a ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City. The promotion was previously known as ''Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre'' (''EMLL'') (''Mexican Wrestling Enterprise''). Founded in 1933, it is the oldest professional wrestling promotion still in existence. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects. "The role of a heel is to get 'heat,' which means spurring the crowd to obstreperous hatred, and generally involves cheating and pretty much any other manner of socially unacceptable behavior that will get the job done." Dulce Gardenia
Javier Márquez Gómez (born January 30, 1992), better known by his ring name Dulce Gardenia, is a Mexican ''luchador'' (or professional wrestler). He is currently working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), as a '' técnico'' ("Good guy") wrestling character. As Gardenia, Márquez portrays an ''exótico'' character, who is presented as effeminate and homosexual in the ring. His ring name is in part an homage to Dizzy Gardenia, who was one of the earliest ''exótico'' wrestlers in the 1940s. Professional wrestling career Márquez initially trained under Kaín in Torreón, Coahuila, making his in-ring debut in 2013. El Cuatrero (born 1996) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler, where he is currently signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Best known for his work for '' Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre'' (CMLL) based in Mexico City. He is the son of ''lucha libre'' legend Cien Caras and the nephew of Máscara Año 2000 and Universo 2000. Cuatrero, his brother Sansón and their cousin Forastero form a trio known as ''Nueva Generación Dinamita'' ("New Generation Dynamite"). NGD are presented as the successors to '' Los Hermanos Dinamita'', which was formed by Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 and Universo 2000. José Casas Ruiz (born January 10, 1960) is a Mexican professional wrestler (called a ''Luchador'' in Spanish) and trainer working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) under the ring name Negro Casas. He is the son of former wrestler turned referee Pepe Casas, and part of the large Casas wrestling family; brother of professional wrestlers El Felino and Heavy Metal and uncle of Puma, Tiger, Canelo Casas, Rocky Casas, Danny Casas and many more. ''Fantastica Mania'' 2011 was the name of two professional wrestling major shows produced that took place on January 22 and January 23, 2011 in Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The event was the first ever co-promoted events between Japanese New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and the Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and features matches with wrestlers from both promotions and both NJPW and CMLL championships being defended. Miguel Ángel Chávez Velasco (born August 18, 1988), better known by his ring name Ángel de Oro (Spanish for "Angel of Gold" or "Golden Angel"), is a Mexican professional wrestler who works for the Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
