Fantastic (TV Channel)
Fantastic was a Polish children's television channel owned by Zone Vision. It was launched on 1 November 1999. Daily programming consisted of a twelve-hour block dedicated to Nickelodeon and an additional two-hour block featuring animated shows produced by Gaumont/ Xilam. Initially, the channel showed animated shows and live-action shows with a voice-over. By 2000, all series were dubbed. For a time the station was losing viewers. On 1 July 2001, Zone Vision closed Fantastic channel due to poor performance and low audience reach. Some Nickelodeon cartoons and movies moved into channels like Canal+, MiniMax (now Teletoon+), TVP3, Tele 5, RTL7 (later TVN7), TV4, TVP1, Disney Channel and KidsCo before Nickelodeon Poland was officially launched on July 10, 2008. AMC Networks International UK (EMEA) (formerly AMC Networks International Zone (EMEA), Chello Zone, Zone Vision and Zone Media) is a London, UK-based television company, founded in 1991 by Chris Wronski and owned by AMC Networks International. History The company was founded to distribute television programmes in Eastern Europe, but now operates in 138 countries. ''Kenan & Kel'' is an American Buddy film, buddy comedy sitcom created by Kim Bass. The show originally aired on the Nickelodeon network for four seasons, from July 15, 1996, to July 15, 2000. ''Rocko's Modern Life'' is an American animated television series created by Joe Murray for Nickelodeon. The series centers on the surreal life of an anthropomorphic Australian immigrant wallaby named Rocko and his friends: the eccentric steer Heffer Wolfe, the neurotic turtle Filburt, and Rocko's faithful dog Spunky. It is set in the fictional town of O-Town. Throughout its run to present day, this show is controversial for its adult humor, including double entendre, innuendo, and satirical social commentary, similar to ''The Ren & Stimpy Show''. ''KaBlam!'' (stylized as ''KaBLaM!'') is an American animated sketch comedy television series that ran on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2000. The series was created by Robert Mittenthal, Will McRobb, and Chris Viscardi. The show was developed as a fully animated showcase for alternative forms of animation that were more common in indie films and commercials. Each episode thus features a collection of short films in different innovative styles of animation, bridged by the characters Henry and June, who introduce the short animations and have adventures of their own in between. The show centers on fourth grader Arnold Shortman, who lives with his grandparents in an inner-city tenement. Episodes center on his experiences navigating urban life while dealing with the problems he and his friends encounter.
