Fanie Eloff
Fanie Eloff, (1885-1947) Stephanus Johannes Paulus Eloff was born as the sixth child and second son of Frederik Christoffel Eloff and Elsie Francina Eloff (née Kruger). They lived right next to his grandfather, President Paul Kruger of the Zuid Afrikaanse Republiek on church street in Pretoria. Eloff along with other influential South African Artists like Jacobus Hendrik Pierneef, Gerard Moerdijk and Gordon Leith attended the Staats Model School in Pretoria until the outbreak of the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902). The Eloff family followed Paul Kruger into exile in Switzerland after the fall of Pretoria on 3 September 1900. After the death of Kruger in 1904 the Eloff's moved back to Pretoria and Fanie Eloff completed his schooling. He enrolled at the South African School of Mines in Johannesburg for a course in geology. Fanie Lombaard (also spelled Lombard; born 29 May 1969) is an athlete and Paralympian from South Africa competing in P42 pentathlon and F42 throwing events. He competed in the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, Australia. There he won a gold medal in the men's Pentathlon - P42 event, a gold medal in the men's Discus throw - F42 event, a gold medal in the men's Shot put - F42 event and a silver medal in the men's Javelin throw - F42 event. He also competed at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece. There he won a gold medal in the men's Discus throw - F42 event, a gold medal in the men's Shot put - F42 event and a silver medal in the men's Javelin throw - F42 event. Fanie De Jager
Fanie de Jager (born 8 April 1949) is a South African operatic tenor and singer of light classical music. Early life Fanie de Jager was born to Christiaan Lodevicus and Frederika Stefina de Jager in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He completed his schooling in Pretoria in Gauteng, the former Transvaal. After his schooling, he studied classical music and singing from the age of 20 with maestro Albrecht Lewald and later the well known George Kok. Fanie De Villiers
Petrus Stephanus "Fanie" de Villiers (born 13 October 1964), is a retired cricketer who played 18 Test matches and 83 One Day Internationals for South Africa as a right arm fast-medium bowler and right hand batsman between 1992 and 1998. He is currently working as an international cricket commentator. During the 3rd test match between Australia and South Africa, he played a role in identifying the cheating carried out by the Australian cricket team after they tampered with the ball to get reverse swing during the 4th day of the third test match: he had served as one of the commentators for the match and had suggested to the camera operators that they look out for possible cheating. Career De Villiers debuted in first-class cricket in 1985–86 for Northern Transvaal B. He opened the bowling in both innings, taking 5 for 33 in the second.
