''Fangbone!'' is a Canadian animated children's television series developed by Simon Racioppa & Richard Elliott, very loosely based on the books by Michael Rex and produced by Radical Sheep Productions and Pipeline Studios in association with DHX Media. The series first aired in May 2014 on Family Chrgd, and concluded on January 24, 2017. Plot Fangbone is a nine-year-old barbarian warrior from Skullbania who has landed in Eastwood Elementary's third grade class to save his native land from the vile villain, Venomous Drool. With the help of his new sidekick Bill, a lovable, normal, goofy kid, Fangbone outwits his enemies while discovering the modern world, and the realities of his own world. WildBrainTV is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by WildBrain. WildBrainTV broadcasts live-action and animated children's programming aimed towards audiences ages 6–15. The channel first launched on June 1, 2011, under the ownership of Astral Media. It initially operated as a localized version of Disney XD, under license from Disney Channels Worldwide, as a sister network to Family Channel. Following the acquisition of Astral Media by Bell Media, Disney XD was divested to DHX Media (now WildBrain) in 2014. Radical Sheep Productions was a Canadian television production company known for producing series including '' The Next Step'', '' Stella and Sam'', and '' The Big Comfy Couch'', the latter a Gemini Award-winning series for preschoolers which produced seven seasons and aired for over ten years on YTV and Treehouse TV in Canada and public television stations in the United States.
