Bryan Brandenburg
Bryan Brandenburg (born February 18, 1959 in Châteauroux, France) is a biophysicist, author, technology entrepreneur and former game programmer. Brandenburg is best known as co-founder of Zenerchi, Sculptured Software and Salt Lake Comic Con and Executive Producer at Engineering Animation, Inc. Career After completing his studies in mathematics and physics in 1982, Brandenburg began programming 3D computer games on the Commodore 64 (C64), Apple II and later the IBM PC and Amiga. Brandenburg started several technology companies that were later acquired by private and public corporations. In 1984, he co-founded Sculptured Software and led the company as President. Dan Farr (born February 15, 1967) is an entrepreneur, known for co-founding Daz 3D, a 3D content and software company, and for founding Salt Lake Comic Con. Career Dan Farr co-founded Daz 3D Inc. in 2000. Daz 3D is a company that develops and publishes 3D digital content and software for creative professionals and hobbyists. San Diego Comic-Con International is a comic book convention and nonprofit multi-genre entertainment event held annually in San Diego, California since 1970. The name, as given on its website, is Comic-Con International: San Diego; but it is commonly known simply as Comic-Con or the San Diego Comic-Con or SDCC. Salt Palace Convention Center
The Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center, more commonly known as the Salt Palace, is a convention center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Named after Utah's 11th governor, Calvin L. Rampton, the name "Salt Palace" was previously used by two other venues in the city. First Salt Palace (1899–1910) The original Salt Palace was built in 1899 under the direction of Richard K.A. Kletting, architect, and owned by John Franklin Heath. It stood on 900 South, between State Street and Main Street in Salt Lake City. The Salt Palace was a frame structure covered by large pieces of rock salt, which gave it its name. The Palace had a large dome and was lit at night with hundreds of light bulbs. The building held a theater and was the centerpiece of an amusement park that included a dance hall, a bandstand, a bicycle racing track, rides, and other amusements.
