Falubaz Zielona Góra is a Polish speedway team based in Zielona Góra who currently races in 1. Liga. The club has won Polish Speedway League seven times (latest in 2013). It is commonly known as ''Falubaz'' due to one of its former names. Stadium The stadium, informally named as ''W69'', is located on 69 Wrocławska Street. It contains 15,000 seats. The track is 337.50 metres long and has a granite surface. It has had an inflatable airfence since May 4, 2006. The stadium is currently being renovated. Some of the benches are being replaced with plastic seats, the floodlights have been erected, the cash desks and the fence were modernised. The track was widened on the bends and the club's new headquarters has been built and moved from 31 Dworcowa Street. Falubaz have been champions of Poland 7 times in their history. Piotr Protasiewicz
Piotr Protasiewicz (born 25 January 1975 in Zielona Góra, Poland) is a Polish international speedway rider. Career He has ridden for the Polish national team in the Speedway World Cup in 1996 and 2005. He was also World U-21 Champion in 1996. In October 1997, during the Speedway Grand Prix Qualification he won the GP Challenge, which ensured that he claimed a permanent slot for the 1998 Grand Prix. IV Liga (Poland)
IV liga (Czwarta Liga) is the fifth level of the Polish football league system. The current structure of IV liga was created in season 2000/01 after introducing new administrative division of Poland. 16 clubs, one from each voivodeship (province), are promoted to III liga. The bottom clubs are relegated to Liga okręgowa or V liga (depending on the voivodeship). Until the end of the 2007/08 season IV liga lay at fourth tier of league system but this was changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the highest level of football league in Poland. History Formation and beginnings The speedway section of club was officially registered 9 April 1950. At number 60 the register of sports associations was written down trade union sports club of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
