Meredith, New York
Meredith is a town in Delaware County, New York, United States. The population was 1,529 at the 2010 census. It is an interior town in the northern part of the county. The town was named for Samuel Meredith. History The town was formed in 1800 from parts of the towns of Franklin and Kortright. The 2010 documentary film '' Windfall'', about the proposed placement of a wind farm in the town, was shot in Meredith. The MacDonald Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The West Branch Delaware River is one of two branches that form the Delaware River. It is approximately 90 mi (144 km) long, and flows through the U.S. states of New York and Pennsylvania. It winds through a mountainous area of New York in the western Catskill Mountains for most of its course, before joining the East Branch along the northeast border of Pennsylvania with New York.
