The Fall 2021 Detroit City FC season was the club's third professional season since the club was established in 2012. Detroit City FC
Detroit City FC (DCFC) is an American professional soccer club based in Detroit, Michigan, that competes in the USL Championship. The club played in the National Premier Soccer League from 2012 to 2019 and the National Independent Soccer Association in 2020 and 2021. Detroit City plays its home matches at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, an enclave of Detroit. The club is managed by Trevor James, a former Ipswich Town F.C. player who later was an assistant coach and scout under Bobby Robson. The team's nickname is ''Le Rouge'', derived from Detroit's French roots and the River Rouge that flows through Detroit and many of its suburbs. Rust Belt Derby
The Rust Belt Derby was a soccer derby played between Detroit City FC, FC Buffalo, and AFC Cleveland in the National Premier Soccer League, the fourth tier of American soccer. The derby was named for the Rust Belt region of the United States. The RBD was created and sponsored by the supporter groups of the three clubs: The Situation Room (Buffalo), 6th City Syndicate (Cleveland), and the Northern Guard Supporters (Detroit). The series was based on the results of games played between the three sides, much like the Cascadia Cup. Cleveland won the inaugural Rust Belt Derby on June 23, 2012 following a 1–1 draw with Detroit City. El Paso Locomotive FC is an American professional association football, soccer team based in El Paso, Texas. Founded in 2018, the team made its debut in the USL Championship in 2019. Club crest and colors The Locomotive brand was unveiled on October 4, 2018, beating out finalists Lagartos, Estrellas, Stars, and Tejanos. Eastbourne () is a town and seaside resort in East Sussex, on the south coast of England, east of Brighton and south of London. Richard Bryan (born 13 September 1995) is an English semi-professional footballer who last played for club Ware as a defender. A product of the Brentford and Enfield Town youth systems, Bryan played lower league football in the United States between 2018 and 2022, most notably for Saint Louis and Detroit City. He returned to England to join non-League club Ware in 2022. Darwin Espinal (born 16 January 1995) is a Honduran professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Maryland Bobcats in the National Independent Soccer Association. Career College and Youth Espinal was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, though his family moved Washington DC, Espinal and family later moved to Broward County, Florida where he played high school soccer for J.
