Falguière () is a station on line 12 of the Paris Métro in the 15th arrondissement. It is named after the nearby ''rue Falguière'', which in turn is named after Alexandre Falguière (1831–1890), a French sculptor and painter. History The station opened on 5 November 1910 as part of the original section of the Nord-Sud Company's line A between Porte de Versailles and Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. On 27 March 1931, line A became line 12 when It was taken over by the Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris (CMP), incorporating it into the Paris Métro. In 2019, the station was used by 881,763 passengers, making it the 293rd busiest of the Métro network out of 302 stations. The Paris Métro (french: Métro de Paris ; short for Métropolitain ) is a rapid transit system in the Paris metropolitan area, France. Side Platform
A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Musée Bourdelle
The Musée Bourdelle ( en, Bourdelle Museum) is an art museum located at 18, rue Antoine Bourdelle, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, France, located in the old studio of French sculptor Antoine Bourdelle (1861–1929). The museum is open daily, except Mondays. Admission to the permanent collections is free. The nearest metro stations are Falguière and Montparnasse-Bienvenüe. The museum preserves the studio of sculptor Antoine Bourdelle and provides an example of Parisian ateliers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was Bourdelle's active studio from 1885–1929. In 1922, Bourdelle began plans to turn his studio into a museum. It connects Pont de Levallois–Bécon station in the near northwestern suburbs to Gallieni in the east, where Paris's international bus station is located. After opening as the network's third line in 1904, it was the subject of a number of extensions, with a major restructuring occurring in the eastern section in 1971, with an extension to Gallieni and the conversion of the original terminal branch to Line 3bis. Parmentier () is a station on Paris Métro Line 3 located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Location The station is located under Avenue de la République, at the intersection with Avenue Parmentier and Rue Oberkampf. Oriented approximately along an east–west axis, it is located between République and Rue Saint-Maur stations. History It was opened on 19 October 1904 as part of the first section of line 3 between Père Lachaise and Villiers. Paris Métro Line 13 (opened as Line B; French: ''Ligne 13 du métro de Paris'') is one of the sixteen lines of the Paris Métro. It was built by the Nord-Sud Company before becoming Line 13 when the Nord-Sud was merged into the Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris (CMP) in 1930. Line 13 was extended in 1976 to reach the northern end of Line 14, which was then absorbed into it. The number 14 was eventually reused for a new line in 1998. Line 13 was once planned to be replaced by a north–south RER line, but this was cancelled after the reorganisation of the Île-de-France region in 1965.
