Express trains are express rail services of India. Express trains make a small number of stops, unlike ordinary passenger or local trains. The East Coast Express is a daily train that runs between Hyderabad and Shalimar (near Kolkata). Earlier this train's terminating station was Howrah . This train numbered 18045/46 takes 30 hours to cover the distance of 1592 km due to a lot of stops on the way. Train composition This train has 11 Sleeper Coaches, Three 3AC-Tier Coaches, One 2AC-Tier Coach, 4 General and 1 SLR-EOG Coach, 1 EOG Coach & 1 High Capacity Parcel Van making a total of 22 coaches. Electric Loco Shed, Howrah is a motive power depot performing locomotive maintenance and repair facility for electric locomotives of the Indian Railways, located at Howrah of the Eastern Railway zone in West Bengal, India. The Indian locomotive class WAP-7 is a class of 25 Volt, kV Alternating current, AC Electric locomotive, electric locomotives that was developed in 1999 by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for Indian Railways. The model name stands for 5 ft 6 in gauge railway, broad gauge (W), AC Current (A), Passenger traffic (P) engine, 7th generation (7). They entered service in 2000. Duronto Express is a category of long-distance non-stop source to destination trains run by the Indian Railways. Initially these trains did not have any ticketing stops between the origin and the destination, but since January 2016 it is possible to book tickets from those technical stops. "Duronto" means "Speedster" in Bengali. Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Garib Rath Express
The Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Garib Rath Express is a daily running superfast garib rath train of the Indian Railways connecting Secunderabad Railway Station to Visakhapatnam. This is the first and only Garib Rath to run daily. The train numbers are 12739 and 12740. It belongs to the South Central Railways. Train number 12740 runs from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam and train number 12739 runs from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad. Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Duronto Express
The Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad ''Duronto Express'' is a superfast AC express train of the Indian Railways, announced in 2011-12 Railway Budget by Mamata Banerjee, the then Minister of Indian Railways, connecting Secunderabad (SC) to Visakhapatnam (VSKP). It is the fastest way between the two cities and will consist of 18 coaches. On 30 June 2012, the Indian Railways announced that the train will be flagged of on 6 July. It was however flagged off from Visakhapatnam on 12 July 2012. Overview The Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Duronto Express has Two stops between the two cities to cover the distance of in 10 hours, 15 minutes. It is the 2nd fastest train between the two cities.
