Faith Wanjiku Ogallo
Faith Ogallo (born 3 February 1994) is a Kenyan taekwondo practitioner. She represented Kenya at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan after qualifying at the 2020 African Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament, African Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Rabat, Morocco. Career She previously competed in basketball but was recommended to switch to taekwondo by her Kibabii University taekwondo coach. In 2019, she Kenya at the 2019 African Games, represented Kenya at the 2019 African Games, African Games held in Rabat, Morocco, and won the silver medal in the Taekwondo at the 2019 African Games, women's +73 kg event. ''Taekwondo'', ''Tae Kwon Do'' or ''Taekwon-Do'' (; ko, 태권도/跆拳道 ) is a Korean form of martial arts involving punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, spinning jump kicks, and fast kicking techniques. The literal translation for tae kwon do is "kicking", "punching", and "the art or way of". They are a kind of martial arts in which one attacks or defends with hands and feet anytime or anywhere, with occasional use of weapons. The physical training undertaken in Taekwondo is purposeful and fosters strength of mind through mental armament. Taekwondo practitioners wear a uniform, known as a dobok.
