Faith Ng
Faith Ng (born 25 June 1987) is a Singaporean playwright. Her plays are noted for their rich characterization and sensitive portrayals of Singapore life. She is currently the Associate Artistic Director of Checkpoint Theatre. Ng is the second daughter of Stefanie, a tutor, and Raymond, a logistics manager. The Necessary Stage
The Necessary Stage (previously known as M1 Theatre Connect and M1 Youth Connection) is a Singaporean non-profit theatre company with charity status. Formed in 1987 by Alvin Tan, The Necessary Stage was established with its own mission to create challenging, indigenous and innovative theatre that touches the heart and mind. The Necessary Stage is a recipient of the National Arts Council's Major Grant FY2014-2016, and is also the organiser of the annual M1 Singapore Fringe Festival. It is currently located at the Marine Parade Community Building. Main season For its main season, The Necessary Stage produces an average of four plays a year at its Black Box and at other venues.
