Faisal Subzwari
Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari (Urdu: سید فیصل علی سبزواری ; born 4 August 1975) is a Pakistani politician and senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (Khalid Maqbool Group). He was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh on the ticket of MQM-P in 2013 Pakistani general election and has served as the opposition leader in Sindh Assembly. Political career Faisal Subzwari started his political career as leader of All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation, the student wing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement. In 2002 Pakistani general election, he was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh on the ticket of MQM from Karachi. Senate of Pakistan or Aiwān-e-Bālā Pākistān ( ur, , , literally "Pakistan upper house"), is the upper legislative chamber of the bicameral legislature of Pakistan, and together with the National Assembly makes up the Parliament of Pakistan. Altaf Hussain ( ur, ; ; born 17 September 1953 in Karachi) is a British Pakistani politician who is known as the founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement. He holds United Kingdom citizenship and has been living in exile in the United Kingdom since the start of Operation Clean-up. Since 2015, he has been a fugitive from the Anti Terrorism Court of Pakistan on the charges of murder, targeted killings, treason, inciting violence and hate speeches. He is due to go on trial in the United Kingdom in January 2022 for promoting terrorism and unrest through hate speech in Pakistan. 2021 Pakistani Senate Election
The 2021 Pakistani Senate election was held on 3 March 2021. The Election commission of Pakistan announced the election schedule on 11 February 2021. 52 of the 104 Senators had retired on 7 February 2021. After the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, FATA seats were abolished and there was no election on 4 of the 8 seats. The rest of the 4 seats will be abolished in 2024. Official results of the Senate Elections were announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan on 10 March 2021. Background This year's election were being conducted amidst an anti-government drive by a coalition of opposition parties, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) ( ur, , ), previously known as Muhajir Qaumi Movement, is a secular political party in Pakistan that was founded by Altaf Hussain in 1984.
