Fairbanks, Oregon
Fairbanks is an unincorporated community in Wasco County, Oregon, United States. It is about east of The Dalles, just south of U.S. Route 30/ Interstate 84, near Fifteenmile Creek. Fairbanks was established in 1905 as a station on the Great Southern Railroad. It was named for Charles W. Fairbanks, then newly elected vice president under Theodore Roosevelt Theodore Roosevelt Jr. ( ; October 27, 1858 – January 6, 1919), often referred to as Teddy or by his initials, T. Fairbanks is a home rule city and the borough seat of the Fairbanks North Star Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. Fairbanks is the largest city in the Interior region of Alaska and the second largest in the state.
