Failure!
''Failure!'' is a 2023 Mexican-American crime comedy film written and directed by Alex Kahuam. The film stars Ted Raimi, Merrick McCartha, Noel Douglas Orput, Melissa Diaz and Christin Muuli. Plot Within one hour, a businessman must choose between his finances or murder to keep his family safe. Cast Production The film was shot in a single, 87 minute take. Raimi said that principal photography took three days from rehearsal to final take. It is the first of its kind by a Mexican director who shot the film in the United States. Release The film was picked up for distribution by Alief at Marché du Film and premiered at FrightFest on August 28, 2023. In May 2024, Red Water Entertainment acquired the North American distribution rights, with a 2025 release date. Reception ''Failure!'' received mostly positive reviews from critics. Merrick McCartha
Merrick McCartha is an American actor who appeared on television shows such as '' All American,'' ''Criminal Minds'', ''Rebel'' and ''Unstable''. His film credits include ''Anatomy of an Antihero: Redemption'', '' Failure!'', '' Hemet, or the Landlady Don't Drink Tea'' and ''The Playground''. Early life McCartha grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He discovered he had a knack for performance in elementary school but his parents, who were police officers, did not want him to take on acting as a career. In 1990, McCartha was a student and part-time waiter when he helped judge a meatloaf cook-off. He attended Cass Technical High School and pursued an engineering career after college.
