Fahmi Huwaidi ( ar, فهمي هويدي; born 29 August 1937 in El Saff, Giza Governorate) is an Egyptian columnist. El Saff
El Saff ( ar, الصف) is a city in the Giza Governorate, Egypt. Its population was estimated at about 59,000 people in 2018. Background El Saff is a Markaz and city located about 30 km south of Helwan, which includes more than 30 villages, and it follows the Giza Governorate, although it is located on the eastern shore of the Nile River, opposite Al-Ayyat B center. The West is the Nile River, and from the east is the Eastern desert. The city is known for the clay brick factories that spread widely over the area and the villages of Askar, Al-Wadi, and Abu Abu Sa’id. Giza Governorate
Giza Governorate ( ar, محافظة الجيزة ') is one of the governorates of Egypt. It is in the center of the country, situated on the west bank of the Nile River opposite Cairo. Its capital is the city of Giza. It includes a stretch of the left bank of the Nile Valley around Giza, and acquired a large stretch of Egypt's Western Desert, including Bahariya Oasis when the 6th of October Governorate was merged into it on 14 April 2011. The Giza Governorate is also home to the Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza. Overview The rate of poverty is more than 60% in this governorate but recently some social safety networks have been provided in the form of financial assistance and job opportunities. ''Al-Dostor ''(also ''Al-Dostour'' and ''Al-Dustour'') ( ar, الدستور, translation=The Constitution, Egyptian Arabic: ), is an independent Daily Egyptian opposition newspaper. History and profile ''Al Dustour'' was first published in December 1995 and is published weekly in Arabic. The paper was originally published with a registration in Cyprus in order to get around the restrictive newspaper publication laws in Egypt during the Mubarak era. It was financed by Essam Fahmy Ismail, who chose its original editor in chief, Ibrahim Eissa.
