Öyvind Fahlström
Öyvind Axel Christian Fahlström (December 28, 1928 – November 9, 1976) was a Swedish multimedia artist. Biography Fahlström was born in São Paulo, Brazil, as the only child to Frithjof Fahlström and Karin Fahlström. In July 1939 he was sent to Stockholm to visit some distant relatives and after World War II he started to study and later on to work as a writer, critic and journalist. From 1960 until 1976 he was married to the Swedish pop artist Barbro Östlihn. Career In 1953, Fahlström had his first solo exhibition, showing the drawing Opera, a room-sized felt-pen drawing. In 1953, he wrote ''Hätila ragulpr på fåtskliaben'', a manifesto for concrete poetry, published in Swedish the following year and in English translation (by Mary Ellen Solt, in her anthology "Concrete Poetry. Alma Fahlstrøm
Alma Isabella Fahlstrøm (née Bosse; 23 November 1863 – 29 May 1946) was a well known Norwegian stage actress, director and theatre manager. Alma Isabella Bosse was born in Skanderborg, Denmark. She was the daughter of Johan Heinrich Bosse and Anne-Marie Lehmann. She was the sister of sociologist Ewald Bosse (1880–1956), singer Dagmar Möller and actress Harriet Bosse (1878–1961) who was married to playwright August Strindberg (1849–1912). In 1889, she married fellow actor Johan Fahlstrøm (1867–1938). In 1897, she and her husband established the Centralteatret in Oslo. The theatre was especially known for a repertoire of light comedy, revues and operettas, as well as Norwegian drama. Jacob Fahlström
Jacob Fahlström (c.1794–1859), also known as Father Jacob, was the very first Swede to settle in Minnesota. He was known as ''Ozaawindib'' or "Yellow Head" to the Ojibwe, and to other white settlers as the "Swede Indian." After working in the fur trade for the Hudson's Bay Company in Manitoba, he joined the American Fur Company at Fond du Lac (in present-day Duluth) as a boatman. In 1823, he married Margaret Bonga, the part-Ojibwe daughter of Pierre Bonga, a French African interpreter in the fur trade. Around 1825, he started working for the U.S. government as a woodsman, mail carrier, and blacksmith's striker at the St. Peter's Indian Agency next to Fort Snelling. In 1838, Fahlström became the first Methodist convert in Minnesota. In 1840, he became a lay preacher for the Methodist Episcopal Church and was considered one of their most successful missionaries to Native Americans in the region. Johan Fahlstrøm
Johan Peter Broust Fahlstrøm (30 August 1867 – 28 July 1938) was one of Norway's leading male actors before World War I. Johan Fahlstrøm was born in Trondheim, Norway. He debuted as an actor at the Christiania Theatre in 1887 in the play ''Julius Caesar'' by William Shakespeare. Fahlstrøm was employed at the Christiania Theater from 1887 to 1897 and at the National Theatre from 1899 to 1903. In 1889, Johan Fahlstrøm married the actress Alma Isabella Bosse, who was the sister of the actress Harriet Bosse and sociologist Ewald Bosse. In 1897, the couple opened the Central Theater in Christiania (now Oslo) with both concert and vaudeville venues. Fahlstrøm appeared in a variety of roles and his wife served as director. From 1902 onward, Harald Otto (1865–1928) was the theater manager and owner.
