Fahlin
Emilia Fahlin (born 24 October 1988) is a Swedish road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Fahlin has won the Swedish National Road Race Championships three times (2008, 2013, 2018) and the Swedish National Time Trial Championships three times in a row from 2009 to 2011. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden, Fahlin competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London during the women's road race, finishing 19th, and in the women's time trial, finishing 17th. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she finished 27th in the Women's road race. Two weeks later, in late-August 2016, she won her first World Tour race, the Open de Suède Vårgårda in Sweden. In June 2019, Fahlin announced that she would be taking a break from racing to recover from injuries sustained in a training crash. 2009 European Road Championships – Women's Under-23 Time Trial
The Women's under-23 time trial at the 2009 European Road Championships took place on July 1. The Championships were hosted by the Belgian city of Hooglede-Gits. The course was 28.1 km long and had stone sections that were also uphill. The uphill part was seen as an important part of the course where you could easily lose seconds. Team Columbia-HTC's Dutch women Ellen van Dijk won the U23 women's individual time trial for the second consecutive year. Van Dijk completed the 28-kilometre course in a time of 36:41 (41.1 km/h), beating Swedish Emilia Fahlin, her teammate, by 20 seconds. She was very happy with the result because she suffered a concussion in April and was unable to cycle for almost six weeks, lowering her expectations for success. Open de Suède Vårgårda is an elite professional women's road bicycle event held annually in the Vårgårda Municipality of Sweden. The women's road time trial, one of the cycling events at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, took place on 1 August in southwest London and Surrey. Kristin Armstrong of the United States was the defending champion. The competition consisted of a time trial over one lap of a course, with staggered starts.
