Ina Claire (born Ina Fagan; October 15, 1893February 21, 1985) was an American stage and film actress. Early years Ina Fagan was born October 15, 1893 in Washington, D.C. After the death of her father, Claire began doing imitations of fellow boarders in the boarding house where she and her mother, Cora, and brother, Allen, were forced to live. Claire's mother took her out of school in the eighth grade, and she used her mother's maiden name when she began her career appearing in vaudeville. In 1906, she gave a recitation as the grand finale of a program presented by Miss Cora B. Shreve's pupils in Washington, D.C. She was identified in a newspaper article as Ina Claire Fagan. Laurie Fagan
Laurie Fagan (3 May 1941 – 28 September 2020) was a professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s and 1960s. Fagan played for Balmain and the Penrith Panthers in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. Playing career A local junior, Fagan was graded with Balmain in 1958 and was in first grade the following year, replacing Brian Staunton. In 1962 Fagan played for New South Wales against Queensland and Great Britain. Also, in 1962, he was named ''The Sun Herald'' 'Player of the Year'. Fagan was slowly forced out of Balmain's first grade side after club had signed the Englishman Dave Bolton during 1965. Kevin Fagan (American Football)
Kevin Scott Fagan (born April 25, 1963) is a former American football defensive end who played seven seasons (1986–1993) for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. Fagan was regarded as one of the best run stopping defensive linemen in professional football, until several injuries including back, shoulder, and knee issues forced him to retire following the 1993 season. In 1990, Fagan earned second-team UPI all-pro honors. Although he was drafted in 1986, he didn't make his official debut until 1987 for San Francisco. Dr Kevin James Fagan AO (5 February 1909 – 1992) was an Australian medical doctor and World War II hero. After attending St Ignatius' College, Riverview on a bursary, Fagan was Dux of the School in both 1925 and 1926, enabling him to study Medicine at the University of Sydney. He lived on campus at St John's College, University of Sydney from 1927 to 1932. After graduation, he returned to Tasmania and became Superintendent of Hobart General Hospital in 1937. Shortly after the outbreak of World War II he joined the Army Medical Corps and was posted to Singapore in 1942 with the 8th Division. Kevin Fagan (born June 22, 1956) is an American cartoonist and creator of the syndicated comic strip ''Drabble''. Fagan was born in Los Angeles. He attended Saddleback College, and later transferred to California State University, Sacramento as a history major. While there, he submitted his work to the student newspaper, the ''State Hornet''. Shortly afterwards, he was discovered by ''The Sacramento Union'', and was subsequently offered a syndication contract by United Media's United Feature Syndicate, and he dropped out of CSUS in 1978, just 3 units short of his degree, to take up cartooning full-time. ''Drabble'' debuted nationally on March 5, 1979, when he was 22 years old. Fagan still draws each and every comic by hand, including all of the lettering and borders. Joseph F. Fagan III (September 7, 1941 – August 10, 2013) was an American psychologist and the Lucy Adams Leffingwell Professor of psychology at Case Western Reserve University from 1990 until his death in 2013. Education Fagan received his B.A. from the University of Hartford in 1963 and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 1965 and 1967, respectively. Career Fagan joined the faculty of Case Western Reserve University in 1968, and became a full professor there ten years later. Joe Fagan
Joseph Francis Fagan (12 March 1921 – 30 June 2001) was an English footballer and manager. He was a coach and manager at Liverpool for twenty seven years under Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley. As a manager he was the first English manager to win three major trophies in a single season and is one of only four English managers to win the European cup. He played for Manchester City in the Football League First Division as a wing half. As his playing career came to an end, he decided to become a coach and worked at clubs in lower leagues before getting the chance to join Liverpool in 1958. From December 1959, he worked with Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley and was highly successful in his coaching of the club's reserve team, being mainly responsible for the development of future star players like Roger Hunt, Ian Callaghan and Tommy Smith.
