Fader Bergström
''Fader Bergström, stäm upp och klinga'' (Father Bergström, start playing and sounding) is one of the Swedish poet and performer Carl Michael Bellman's songs, from his 1790 collection, ''Fredman's Epistles'', where it is No. 63. The melody is based on a minuet by . Bergström was a musician, and the song celebrates dancing and drinking late into the evening. The song, written in 1773, was revised heavily to make it suitable for publication. The initial version, naming Movitz not Bergström as the musician, was an attack on an over-zealous priest who had caused Bellman to be summonsed for an earlier poem that had joked about salvation. The song has been recorded by Bellman interpreters including Fred Åkerström, Fredrik Berg, and Rolf Leanderson. Carina Burman
Carina Burman (born 1960) is a Swedish novelist and literature scholar. Her research has been focused on Swedish 18th and 19th century literature. She completed her Ph.D. in literature in Uppsala in 1988 with a dissertation on the Gustavian writer Johan Henric Kellgren. Later production includes a critical edition of previously unpublished letters of the novelist and feminist pioneer Fredrika Bremer in two volumes (1996) and a biography of Bremer (2001). Together with her husband, Professor Lars Burman, she has published critical editions on behalf of the Swedish Academy of the works of Johan Henric Kellgren (1995), Fredrika Bremer's "Livet i gamla världen. Palestina" (1995) and the poetic works of Erik Gustaf Geijer (1999). Carina and Lars Burman have also edited Bremer's "Grannarne" for the series of Swedish literature published by Svenska Vitterhetssamfundet (2000). Elis Chiewitz
Elis Chiewitz (pronounced ''tje:vits''), born 13 April 1784 in Stockholm, died 24 June 1839 in Hammarlund, Åland, was a Swedish musician and artist. Biography Elis Chiewitz was the son of the court chapel violinist and Christina Elisabeth Runius. He was the brother of and the uncle of Georg Theodor Chiewitz. He studied music and already as a young cellist gave concerts, including at the court chapel. He began his art studies at the Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in 1801; despite encouragement and several medals he remained as a student as late as 1820. He participated several times in the academy's exhibitions with genre pictures, landscape and historical scenes in oils or watercolour. In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Iris (; ; grc-gre, Ἶρις, Îris, rainbow, ) is a daughter of the gods Thaumas and Electra, the personification of the rainbow and messenger of the gods, a servant to the Olympians and especially Queen Hera. Leviathan
Leviathan (; he, לִוְיָתָן, ) is a sea serpent noted in theology and mythology. It is referenced in several books of the Hebrew Bible, including Psalms, the Book of Job, the Book of Isaiah, the Book of Amos, and, according to some translations, in the Book of Jonah; it is also mentioned in the Book of Enoch.
