Face Tomorrow
Face Tomorrow is a Dutch indie rock band. It was formed in 1997, and consists of lead singer Jelle Schrooten, guitarists Aart Steekelenburg and Marc Nolte, bass player Tijs Hop, and drummer Sjoerd van der Knoop. In 2010 Nolte left and was replaced by Ralf Mastwijk. Face Tomorrow first released an EP called ''Live the Dream'' in 2001, but became one of the leading Dutch underground bands after the release of their first album ''For Who You Are'' in 2002. After the band released its second album ''The Closer You Get'' in 2004, Face Tomorrow toured all over Europe and the United States, playing festivals like Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Noorderslag, Bochum Total, Groezrock and Paaspop. In 2006 they made a cover album with songs of The Apers with bands like Peter Pan Speedrock, Travoltas, El Pino & the Volunteers etc. On this album Face Tomorrow made a cover of the song "You Can't Change The World". The Apers
The Apers are a Dutch pop punk band who formed in Rotterdam in 1996. They have released their first three albums on Stardumb Records, then released their 2007 album ''Reanimate My Heart'' on Sonic Rendezvous Records in Europe, and Insubordination Records in the USA, before moving on to Asian Man Records. They have played about 700 shows all over Europe and the USA. The band is often compared to Screeching Weasel, not lastly because of frontman Kevin Aper's snotty vocal delivery, reminiscent of Ben Weasel Benjamin Foster (born 1968), also known as Ben Weasel, is an American musician, best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the punk rock band Screeching Weasel. Jochem Jacobs
Jochem Jacobs (born 26 March 1977) is a Dutch guitarist, producer and recording engineer, noted for his work as founder, guitarist and producer for Textures. He works at Split Second Sound, a studio in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He has been involved with the mixing, mastering and production of all Textures albums so far, as well as other bands such as Epica, Autumn, Stream of Passion, Heidevolk, Severe Torture, Hord, In-Quest, Almah, Izegrim, The Red Shore, Intwine, Face Tomorrow, Kingfisher Sky and Devious. El Pino & the Volunteers is a band from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The band's music mixes alt. rock with Americana. In 2006 the band's debut album ''Molten City'' was released on Excelsior Recordings. Biography During an exchange project in Vancouver, David Pino, singer of Wiseguy, met two Canadians who introduced him to alternative country. In exchange for a six-pack of beer and a tank full of gasoline, Pino obtained an acoustic guitar. Together with his Canadian accomplices, he traveled across the country playing for cash or free beers. Back in the Netherlands, he brought together like-minded musicians, and El Pino & the Volunteers was born. Travoltas
The Travoltas are a Dutch pop punk band from the Netherlands. With a sound that combines an energetic mix of the Beach Boys and the Ramones, the band is often referred to as 'The Beach Boys of punk rock'.


History


Early years: 1990–1996

The Travoltas formed in 1990, with founding members Perry Leenhouts, Vincent Koreman, and Stephan LaHaye joining forces after the demise of the Dutch punkrock formation Kriezus (“Crisis”). With a sound that combines an energetic mix of the Beach Boys and the Ramones, and a dash of the Cars, The Travoltas have had a prolific recording career and sport a list of albums, compilations, EPs, singles, and videos to their credit. With Erik van Vugt replacing LaHaye in 1993, the band released their EP debut, “Kill! Kill! Kill! Sex! Sex! Sex!” in early 1996.
