Face (Solar EP)
''Face'' (stylized as " : FACE") is the debut extended play (EP) by South Korean singer-songwriter Solar, the leader and main vocalist of Mamamoo, released on March 16, 2022, by RBW. Background and release On February 22, 2022, the first teaser for ''Face'' was released. It shows a face motion logo of Solar's new EP ''Face''. The EP title was inspired by the hanja 容, pronouncing ''yong'', from the singer's real name Kim Yong-sun. She described the concept of ''Face'' as her true and sincere self, as well as an appreciation towards self-love, uniqueness, and beauty, "just as the faces of people living in the world are all different, each and every one of them is precious." In particular, as her face reflects emotions and the path that person has walked, Solar plans to show various colors of music by comparing her sincere thoughts, feelings, and values. Kim Yong-sun (, born February 21, 1991), better known by the stage name Solar (), is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actress signed under RBW. She is the leader and main vocalist of girl group Mamamoo and its sub-unit Mamamoo+. She made her solo debut with the single " Spit It Out" on April 23, 2020. She released her first extended play '' 容 : Face'' with its lead single "Honey" on March 16, 2022. A queen bee is typically an adult, mated female (gyne) that lives in a colony or hive of honey bees. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010.
